﹝原文字義﹞「腹」子宮。

﹝文意註解﹞尼哥底母誤解了重生的意思，以為是再進母腹生出來；在此他說『如何能』和『豈能』，乃是認為這樣的事是不可能的。

﹝話中之光﹞(一)屬血氣的人不領會神聖靈的事，反倒以為愚拙；並且不能知道，因為這些事惟有屬靈的人才能看透(林前二14)。

(二)人憑自己的私見，最容易誤會真道；但若肯虛心受教，仍有可能明白真道。
