【約六39】「差我來者的意思，就是祂所賜給我的，叫我一個也不失落，在末日卻叫他復活。」

﹝原文字義﹞「失落」失去，除滅，毀滅。

﹝文意註解﹞「在末日卻叫他復活」：『末日』(參40，44，54節)在此特指主降臨的日子(參帖前四16)；本句意指信主的人雖然會死，但死後仍將復活。這表示死亡不會勝過基督所賜的生命。
