Chapter Sixteen

King Samael sat on his throne.

He looked terrible.

'The Queen is dead', he announced.

Gasps came from the vampires.

'Dead! Who killed her, my King?', Lord Markham asked him.

'She died in her sleep last night', the King answered.

'But, without the Queen, the city will be in turmoil, my King'.

'I announce three nights of mourning'.

It was a strong command.

And the meeting of vampires was over.
