Chapter Three-The Self (Part Three)

The girl walked towards Tracey's Mom.

She wiped away her hair with her left hand; she walked differently from Tracey. 'Where were you, Tracey?', Mom asked her.

'My head hurt. I took aspirin. It's Tammy', she answered.

'Tammy'.

'Tammy Harris. Tracey is away'.

And she sighed, as the pain left her body.

Tammy walked to 131st Street, and 7th Avenue.

She headed to Bert's Pizza House.

She smiled at the boy who was working there.

'Good evening. I'd like a large Mexican pizza, garlic bread, and Coke, please'. 

'$9.99', the boy said.

She gave him a $20 note.

'I haven't seen you before'.

'I'm new here'.

'What's your name? I'm Brian'.

'Tammy. Can you join me?'.

'Ah, sure'.

And he smiled.
