Margot glided towards the warm fireplace.

She felt her cold, dead, hands were glowing.

Her gown was richly-made.

'My Lady, are you afraid?', Lady Lesley asked her.

'No', she answered.

'Life is for those who're insisting on death', she said.

Margot turned around.

'The flesh is wounded', Lady Lesley said.

'Oh, but it is going away. See...'.

Lady Lesley nodded.

'Vampiric magic', Lady Lesley said.

'Yes, it is', Margot said.

'Come to the chairs, and rest'.

Margot nodded, and knew she was safe from danger.
