In the late 1970's, Cara Madden, a sixteen year old teenager, arrives at a family Mansion that is clouded by mystery. As she struggles to find her voice against her unfeeling parents who are hiding their own secrets, Cara meets Darren Karr, a seventeen year old boy, and falls in love with him, unaware of the dangers they're in as a consequence of their actions.
