Some days are harder than other, some days were easier, but some days are just damn dreadful.
Today is one of the most dreading nights. The silence echoes in the night void. The lights in the gas lamps flicker and the several inches of powdery snow does nothing to help lift the mood.
It’s stupid really. Curt had no idea why he was wondering out here in the night severely under dressed. He just needed to get out of the apartment; or rather he was indirectly kicked out of his apartment when his roommate gave no warning on the guest he was having over. Like hell, he had to find out when their intermingling naked bodies greeted him in the living room. Lovely, just what he needed. Not to mention he now officially knew more than he needed about his roommate.
Catcher, really? Would have thought he pitched for that alpha man. There is seriously an image gap between how he acts verses when he was. . .
Curt shakes his head to get the sudden unwanted memory out of his head. Shit, so did not need that imagery in my head again.
Needing a distraction he decides he’d pick up the speed and go for a run around the neighborhood. Plus it was freezing out and if he continued at this snail pace he would surely freeze to death.

Infact, the snow at this time of year is actually quite abnormal. It was suppose to be summer here by now. There were already a handful of bizarre weather reports going around.
Curt is definitely more of sun out, shirt off kind of guy; to say he is not too fond of the snow would be an understatement.
Weird.
Curt had decided to take a different path than he usually did just because it was the longer route and he had to kill time before he got back. He didn’t want to show up any earlier than he had too.
However, the path starts to dim even more nearing the other end of the street. A handful of consecutive street lamps on either side of the street were completely dead. The only light left to illuminate his path was the reflecting navy light bouncing off the snow from the night sky.
The dead lights stretched on for several blocks. Five minutes pass since he’s been jogging in the dark when he finally saw in the distant some lights, though they look like they’re on the brink of dying themselves. The light in the distance dimmed in and out inconsistently. They would softly dim and then sudden flash on or off.
As Curt got closer he realized where he was. This was the old abandoned park. Ever since the new park two blocks over was built with better safety precautions put in, no one came to this old park anymore. It practically happened over night. 449Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡdaFCkN7G5B

Striding past the first gate of the park entrance he saw shifting in the shadows under the light that was blinking on and off. At first he thought he just wanted to get pass as quickly as possible. The last thing he wanted was to see more people shagging, when that’s exactly what got him out here in the first place.
However, when the lights suddenly buzzed up on full power again, Curt didn’t even have time to feel his feet stop. They just suddenly rooted themselves in place. His breath caught in his throat, a light warmth tingled his fingers all the way to his face. He felt a heavy breath enter his chest and slowly exasperate out of his lips.
Suddenly the late night was no longer a dim shadow of navy blue. Instead, before him, the space was basked in a bright blinding white light. It was as if, the space around him and before him was filled with a halo of light beaming straight down from the heavens.
Unable to believe the overwhelming sense that flooded him, he didn’t even dare blink even as the light flashed back off. Even as the light slowly creep back on, he did not take his eyes of the innocent looking blond crouched on the ground.She had the most radiant smile, grin, laughter, and joy while staring up at the street lamp above her. She was spreading something before the snow with her bare hands. It was bizarre, Curt couldn’t quite make out what was so unsettling wrong about this picture. Not until she, having felt his presence, she looks up suddenly at him.
In her eyes were long streams of tears, and suddenly that angel like girl he had first laid eyes on turned into a fragile glass sculpture.

Suddenly as if needing to speak to anyone about the truth, she stared up at Curt and started to speak through her tears. “She died in my place. She is my twin, and now she is dead because they mistook her for me”.
