Lasarra Daelam:

I stand on the roof of the inn where we are staying, looking over the outlines of the area around the said inn. It looks beautiful at this time of day - dawn, when the sun had almost risen.

 

I inhale the cold breeze blowing in my direction, letting it run through my undone hair. My cloak flies along with the soft wind and I close my eyes, staying like that for a moment.

 

When I open my eyes it's the same moment when the first rays of the sun peek through the land. I smile. It's time to wake everyone. We have a long journey ahead of us. A very long journey indeed.

 

I slip down the roof silently and enter the window of Strider's room.

 

"I thought you had left." I hear Strider say once I get inside.

 

"You fell asleep at midnight." I reply. "I was already up at that time so I did not wake you and took watch instead. I preferred the roof though."

 

He nods. "Thank you. I appreciate you letting me sleep." he says.

 

"You are welcome, Strider." I reply with a nod of my own. "You needed it anyway."

 

Then, I turn to the sleeping hobbits. They look so peaceful. "Where do you plan on taking them?" I say, directing my words to Strider.

 

"To Rivendell." he replies. "Lord Elrond is wise and his lands are well-protected. He might know what to do with the ring."

 

I smile. "Then take care of the hobbits for me, Strider." I say as I turn to him.

 

Strider stops what he's doing and faces me. His face show confusion.

 

"I'm afraid there are other matters I need to look into." I answer his unasked question. "I am not certain yet. But if Gandalf is where I think he is, then he needs help."

 

"I see." he says, not pressing the matter further. "Then I wish you success in your journey."

 

"And I, to yours." I reply with a smile.

I walk behind my companions. Strider is leading. When we reach the crossroad, our paths will then part. I will head to Isengard and help Gandalf if he is there. I hope Father did not harm him.

 

"Well, this is it.", I say once we set foot on the crossroad. "Our roads now part."

 

"What do you mean, Lasarra?" Frodo asks, looking at me in confusion.

 

Samwise, Pippin and Merry are all waiting for me to answer. "I am needed elsewhere, my dearest friends." I say with a smile.

 

They all seem sad by that. “But where will you go?” Pippin asks.

“To a place where I think Gandalf is.” I reply, not letting them know how dangerous my journey might get. I don’t want them to feel sadder than they already are. For some reason, the hobbits have become attached to me at such a short time. And I to them.

I never had friends back at Isengard. No one else was there. I only had Father.

I kneel down to make myself the same height as the hobbits. “Don’t worry.” I tell them. “I will be with you again. I promise.”

"Oohmf" I say, surprised by all four of them embracing me.

I can't help but smile and embrace them back.

"Do be careful, Lasarra." Frodo says.

"I will." I reply. We all let go from the embrace. "Now get going." I say as I gently push them to where Strider is, who is smiling at our little moment.

"Take this." Strider says, handing me a piece of rolled paper. I assume it's a map. "Goodbye, Lasarra. Tenna' ento lye omenta." (Until next we meet.)

I give him a nod and head off the opposite direction, giving the hobbits one last smile.

I walk through the woods, looking at the map that Strider had given to me. And judging from the map, it would not be until some months when I reach the Pinnacle of Orthanc.

Instead of heading for the Gap of Rohan, I decide to cut through the Misty Mountains and head for Lorien. From there, I will turn South to Fangorn Forest.

I know cutting through the Misty Mountains is a very risky move as the mountain contains perilous paths and perhaps even dangerous creatures. But I have to do this. It's a faster way than heading for the Gap of Rohan. And besides, Father will not suspect it.

I walk further, only resting when needed. Nothing unusual happens. 

The sun slowly sets and I find myself a place to sleep for the night. I settle under a big rock that forms a little cave where I can fit in. The opening does not face the road so it should be safe.

I eat some bread and then drink some water. I then fall into slumber that night.

Third Person:

It is already nighttime.

Gandalf sits, leaning on a part of the dark tower. He is already soaked from the heavy rain, as he is placed on top of Saruman's tower. He looks below where orcs are chopping down trees and working. He knows he has to get out of that place.

But there is no way down unless he has his staff. But Saruman had taken it during their clash.

Saruman's betrayal is something Gandalf did not expect. Saruman was wise and powerful but it seems that's not enough to make one stay on the right path.

But there's still hope left. Not too long ago, Gandalf sent a moth to find the eagles. All he can do now is wait.

Lasarra Daelam:

I'm here on top of one of the snow covered mountains. The wind here is strong. Strong enough to carry snow with it. I try to push through, slipping here and there but continuing nonetheless.

Fortunately, the wind is not that strong once I start going downhill.

Suddenly, I hear growling and indistinct talking not too far in front. So, I hide myself behind some rocks.

"Get it!" I hear a loud voice shout followed by a loud roar. And then some grunts and thuds. "Get it you fools!"

Wanting to know what is happening, I circle around a rock and peek, careful not to be seen.

What I see are five snow trolls trying to harm what looks like a white dragon. It's white scales seem to be the same color as the snow on the ground. And it's not that big. It can only carry, I presume two persons.

But wait. I thought dragons no longer exist? Well not in this age anyway.

"Hey!" I call to the trolls and it gets their attention. "I won't let you harm that dragon."

All five trolls charge at me in a sloppy way. No doubt they have no training at all.

I duck in time to avoid one swing of a gigantic ax and as I pull my sword from its sheath, I slash it at the troll that attacked me. It cuts its shoulder, leaving it with a large gash that bleeds profusely with black blood.

Another troll attacks me with its sword, swinging to cut off my head. I take three calculated steps away just in time to let the attack miss me and hit the other troll who's also about to attack, killing it instantly as the sword cuts off its head.

The same troll with the sword sends another sloppy swing of his weapon , this time aimed to cut me in half by my waist. But in one throw of my sword, it hits the said troll on the head, stopping it's attack before it hits me and it falls to the ground, dead.

I take my sword that's embedded on the dead troll's head and face the remaining two trolls alive. One with the large gash and the other, not injured.

"Who's next?" I ask them with a smirk. This seems to scare them and they take off running for their lives.

I sigh, replacing my sword on its sheathe and facing the white dragon.

Now that I can see it clearly, I can see it has blue eyes that shine like sapphires. And white wings like that of a bird with hard white scales covering it.

It stands on four legs, with feet like that of an eagle, only bigger and stouter. It's white tail is covered in white scales aside from the tip part that has hair.

It has a long neck and a head with blue-green horns that matches the color of it's stomach and what's below its neck.

It also has two whiskers on each side of its head, on the tip is blue-green hair that matches it's horns.

The dragon looks to me with kind eyes, bowing gratefully.

I arrive in Fangorn Forest rather fast, riding on the dragon whom I now call Thilivern, elvish for White.

The dragon is female and she had pledged her life to me for saving her. But I only asked her to take me to Fangorn Forest and set her free.

Now here I am,  walking through Fangorn Forest. It seems I have underestimated the span of this forest. It's wider than I thought. I blame the map though. It looks small in the drawing.

My feet are sore. And I feel slightly tired. But I push on. I have to do this.

That's when I hear something that makes me hide behind some overgrown roots of one of the trees.

I sneak a peek and find myself gasping at the sight. Orcs. And they are chopping down trees.

I scan the area. There are more than a dozen orcs around me. What are they doing here anyway? And how did they get here?

 

Then, I see a structure not too far from here. The Pinnacle of Orthanc. The said tower seems even more sinister now. And not to mention, it is surrounded by orcs. Those evil and foul creatures. Father is probably working with them for Sauron.

 

In that case, I should find a way to get inside the tower without being detected. But first I should get closer.

And so, I maneuver my way through the trees, careful not to trip on the roots or make any noises. Being caught is not an option here. I must be careful.

 

I stop when I reach the edge of the forest. Or what is now the edge of the forest. So many trees have already been cut off, the whole place now bare and lifeless.

 

I clench my fists as I look at the tower. Or more like glare at it. That's when my keen eyes see someone on top of it. A person wearing gray clothing and having long gray hair. Gandalf? It must be him. I have no doubt about it.

 

I should find a way to get on top of the tower without being detected.

However another person comes into view on top of the tower. Father.

Viciously, he tosses Gandalf with a flick of his staff.

"No." I say to myself. My heart starts beating fast as I worry for Gandalf. "I have to do something."

I can no longer see Gandalf in my perspective. But I see father walk towards a direction, probably where Gandalf is.

Gandalf:

I push myself up and sit down. I glare at Saruman who had just tossed me to the edge of the tower.

Saruman smirks. "You are a fool, Gandalf." He says. "You are on the losing side. Join us, my friend."

"You are mad, Saruman." I say. "You have turned away from what is right. You are the fool."

His face contorts in anger as he flicks his staff again, flinging me to the side. I'm lucky I didn't fall.

I wince at the pain and something wet drips down my hand. I look at it. Blood. I touch my head where it hurts and look at my hand. Blood.

"I will not end you, Gandalf." Saruman says, making me turn to him. "But I will make you suffer until you give up!"

He charges lightning on his staff, his mouth pulled up into a wicked smirk.

I just sit there. There is nothing I can do anyway. I don't have my staff to counter his attack.

Suddenly, Saruman is sent a few steps backwards by some invisible force, the lightning dispelled from his staff. His face shows that of surprise.

"I will not let you harm him anymore, Father." Someone says in a voice so familiar.

I hear someone land beside me and I look at who it is. It's a girl with golden hair that's braided and blue eyes. She wears a black cloak and gray boots.

"Lasarra.." Saruman says.

I see. Lasarra Daelam, Saruman's adopted daughter. I wondered where she was. I thought she had joined Sauron as Saruman did. It seems I was wrong.

Lasarra steps in front of me in a protective way. "That's enough, Father." She says bitterly. "You have betrayed everyone enough by joining Sauron. And now you intend to harm Gandalf whom you once treated as your close friend? Just how lowly have you become?"

It surprises me how she can talk to Saruman like that. I know how much she loves him even when he had strayed from the right path.

"Foolish Lasarra." Saruman says with an amused smirk. "You think you can best me? I taught you everything you know!!"

"I know." Lasarra replies as she takes a stance, ready for a fight.

"Lasarra." I say. "You can't defeat him"

"I have to try." She replies.

Saruman flicks his staff in Lasarra's direction but Lasarra raises her arm as if to block an invisible force. She is moved a bit to the side but no harm has come to her.

"Bragollach tel'llach!" Lasarra chants, a ball of fire forming in her right hand. She launches it towards Saruman. (Fireball)

The fireball explodes upon impact and smoke covers the part where Saruman is. Lasarra looks worried. "Father?"

Lightning shoots from the smokey area, aimed at Lasarra. I open my mouth to warn her but it wasn't needed. She had already dodged it.

However Saruman was clever and Lasarra still inexperienced. While Lasarra dodged the lightning, he flicks his staff to Lasarra's direction. 

Lasarra is flung to the side. As she is about to get up, Saruman fires lightning at her, causing her to yell in agonizing pain but Saruman doesn't falter.

"Lasarra!" I call to her and then turn to Saruman. "She is your daughter! Spare her!"

"She's not my daughter." Saruman says, smirking as if he looks happy to see Lasarra in so much pain. "I just adopted her out of pity." He launches more lightning at her.

Lasarra screams even more. I worry for her. However, I look to the left when I something catches my attention. The eagles are here.

So, without wasting any more time, I push Saruman to the side. He loses his concentration as he falls to the floor, dispelling the lightning.

I run as fast as I can towards Lasarra's unconscious form, picking her up gently but fastly and then immediately jump from the tower, landing on Gwaihir

I look back to Saruman who is now looking at us angrily.

He had harmed Lasarra, whom I know how much he cares for. There's no saving him now. He has truly fallen to the darkness.

Lasarra Daelam:

I open my eyes slowly. It's blurry and bright that I had to squint my eyes. I hear bickering to my right from two familiar voices - Merry and Pippin. I'm glad they're safe.

"Merry!" Pippin whines, no doubt having a pout on his face. "That apple is mine."

"It's mine now." Merry replies and I hear a crunch of what I think is the apple.

"Shhhh!" Someone scolds them - Samwise. "You'll wake Lasarra."

"They already did." I decide to speak up as I push myself up with very sore limbs. Probably normal after being electrified.

"Lasarra!!" All three of my friend hobbits perk up and come near my bed.

"I'm glad you're finally up!" Pippin says rather cheerfully and embraces me.

My limbs however, were the ones to complain. "Ow ow." I say.

"Oh! Sorry." Pippin recoils from the embrace, embarrassed.

"It's alright, Pippin." I tell him, patting his head. This makes him grin.

"We're so happy to have you back, Lasarra." Merry says, grinning along with Pippin.

I look at Samwise who's also smiling. But I notice I'm missing one more hobbit. "Where's Frodo?"

This seems to sadden all three of them. My eyes widen a bit in horror as my mind plays the bad things that could've happened to him.

"He's asleep." Samwise is the one to answer, making me sigh in relief. "He's been stabbed by a Nazgul blade. He's lucky to make it here before.." He pauses. "Before.."

"Before he turned into one of them." I finish for him, seeing that he is having a hard time saying it himself.

"Yes." Samwise says.

"But don't worry." Pippin says. "Frodo is a stubborn hobbit. It will take more than that to get rid of him."

"That, I agree with." I say with a smile, some of my worries going away.

"And when you arrived here with Gandalf, your condition is not that different from Frodo." Merry says. "Gandalf told us what happened. We were all so worried."

"If Frodo is up, he's be as worried as we are." Pippin adds.

I smile. They are so sweet. "Are we in Rivendell?" I ask them.

"How did you know?" Merry asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, Strider said he would be taking you to Rivendell so I assume this is Rivendell since you are here." I reply.

"You're smart." Pippin chirps.

Rolling my eyes, "Of course I am." I smile.

"Frodo's up!" Pippin announces, almost tripping on the floor as he was running.

Merry perks up and runs outside with Pippin on tow. I immediately get up too, ignoring my aching limbs.

"Lasarra!" Samwise comes to my side as I was wobbling to and fro. "What are you doing? You are not supposed to be moving so much!"

"Frodo's up, Samwise." I tell him. "And I want to see him. I know you want to too."

He hesitates for a moment. "I will be fine." I tell him. "I was just electrified."

"Just electrified?" He says in disbelief. "You have a way of making things seem easy despite how dire they are, huh?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Is that a yes?" I tell him hopefully.

He signs. "Fine, Lasarra." He finally submits.

"Yes!" I exclaim.

Limping a bit, and with Samwise to aid me, we reach the room where Frodo is.

Merry and Pippin are there too, laughing and smiling along with Frodo. Gandalf sits on a chair not too far from Frodo's bed, smiling at the hobbit's Reunion.

Once he sees me though, he looks shocked and stands abruptly from his chair, running to my side and taking Samwise's place. "Lasarra! You shouldn't be moving!" He scolds.

"Gandalf, I'm fine." I tell him. "I just want to see Frodo."

I direct my eyes to Frodo who is now smiling at me. "Lasarra." His forehead creases once he notices I'm not in good shape. "What happened to you?"

I walk to his bed with Gandalf as my aid. "I just got into some complications." I reply. "But I'm okay now. No reason to be sad. Smile for me." I tell him as I gesture him to smile. 

Frodo smiles. I sit on his bed with Merry and Pippin. I call on Samwise to join us and he does.

When Frodo is well enough to stand, we have fun by looking around Rivendell. It's such a beautiful place with elves roaming here and there. 

"Oh Frodo!" Samwise calls to Frodo. "There's someone here you'll want to see."

Samwise points to a direction where an elderly hobbit is sitting and writing on a book.

The smile on Frodo's face when he sees the elderly hobbit is that of happiness. I assumed they are close to each other.

"He's Bilbo Baggins. Frodo's uncle" I hear Samwise speak up. "If you're wondering. Heheh." He adds, scratching his head.

"That explains how close they are to each other then." I tell him.

I hear laughing from Merry and Pippin and I look to them. They seem to be running about the beautiful garden, laughing and having so much fun. They both seem so happy despite everything that has happened.

I sit on a stone bench that faces the said garden. "It's refreshing to see them so happy despite everything happening now." I tell Samwise, who also sits down beside me. "Don't you think so, Samwise?"

"Yeah." He replies with a sigh. "They're always so care-free, them two."

I turn to where Frodo is talking to his uncle. "Frodo is never going to fully heal." I say silently but loud enough for Samwise to hear. "He is forever scarred by the wound he got."

"What are you saying, Lasarra?" Samwise asks, confused.

"Wounds caused by Nazgûl blades leave something behind." I tell him. "A darkness that one cannot simply remove. Not even the greatest of healers."

"So you're saying that Frodo will suffer." He says sadly as he looks to Frodo's direction. "Forever?"

I nod and then sigh. "What happened, Samwise?" I ask him. "Can you tell me?"

Samwise Gamgee:

We had camped for the night in the ruins of the great watchtower of Amon Sûl. Strider went off to scout for any enemies, leaving us with some weapons. Frodo is asleep.

"Merry." Pippin says with a frown. "I'm hungry."

I roll my eyes at that. "You're always hungry, Pippin." I tell him. "And besides, we have to save food so we won't starve before we reach Rivendell."

"But Strider says we'll reach Rivendell tomorrow." Pippin says.

I don't say anything. "Pippin's right." Merry agrees. "Besides, I'm a bit hungry myself."

"We should wait for Strider." I tell them.

"And have him eat from our food?" Merry says with a frown.

"And besides." Pippin adds. "It's his fault we're hungry. He didn't let us eat for afternoon tea or dinner. How many times do men eat anyway?"

I sigh. "Fine." I tell them, taking my bag and getting the necessary items to cook and make a fire. "But we'll leave some for Frodo."

With that agreed, we start cooking.

"My tomatoes burst." Merry says.

"Could I have some bacon?" Pippin says, gesturing for the bacon that I just finished cooking. I hand it to him as I take some for myself and setting aside another slice for Frodo.

"Want a tomato, Sam?" Merry asks me. I shake my head.

"What are you doing?!" Frodo suddenly shouts at us.

"Tomatoes, sausages, nice crispy bacon." Merry replies.

"We saved some for you, Mr. Frodo." I tell him, giving him a bowl filled with food.

"Put it out, you fools!" Frodo shouts, stomping on the fire. "Put it out!"

"That's nice!" Pippin complains. "Ash on my tomatoes!"

Suddenly, we hear a loud shriek and that silences us. Frodo runs to the edge of the watchtower and looks below. We follow him. Four wraiths are speeding towards us.

"Go!" Frodo yells as he takes his sword from its sheathe. We do the same and run into a doorway that leads further into the watchtower, hoping that it would save us.

All four of us stand back to back, looking around for the wraiths. We are so afraid now. I can hear each of us breathe in pants.

I feel Frodo moving further backwards, looking at something in horror. Merry, Pippin and I, look at what he's staring at. We see the wraiths walk to us with their swords held straight.

We back away as they take each step toward us. My heart is beating so hard now. This can't be it. We can't die here. We have to live!

"Back, you devils!" I yell at the wraiths who are now ready to pierce their swords at us.

I slash my sword at one of them but it just blocks with ease and tosses me aside like a piece of paper.

"Ugh!" I say, feeling my head and shaking it slightly to ease the dizziness.

My sight had gotten blurry due to the impact on my head and I blink my eyes rapidly to make it go back to normal. It does after a few seconds.

Now, I see the wraiths surrounding an empty space and I hear Frodo yell out in agonizing pain. But I don't see him. Where is he? I look around but I can't find him.

I hear Strider let out a battle yell as he jumps to our aid from out of nowhere. Thank goodness.

He slashes his sword fearlessly at the wraiths, not showing even the slightest fear.

Suddenly, Frodo appears behind Strider. He yells in agonizing pain as he lays on the ground.

"Frodo!" I call as I run to him, ducking from Strider and the enemy's swords. I finally reach Frodo and try to help him. 

"Oh Sam." He says in pain. I look at his left shoulder and see a wound there.

"Mr. Frodo." I say in panic. "You're hurt."

Pippin and Merry also come to his side.

"S-sam!" Frodo says, his face contorted in pain. "It's painful!"

"You're going to be alright, Mr. Frodo." I tell him.

"Yeah. Yeah." Pippin says, trying to find the words to comfort Mr. Frodo. "Strider is here now. We'll be fine."

But Frodo let's out another cry of pain.

"Strider!" I call Strider who in turn takes his place beside me, already done getting rid of the wraiths. "Help him Strider."

"He's been stabbed by a Morgul blade." Strider says, taking the blade that was used to stab Frodo. But the blade dissipates into nothing but ash. Strider drops the handle.

"This is beyond my skill to heal." Strider says. "He needs elvish medicine."

I cry as I try to calm Frodo but whatever I do, it does not ease his suffering. This is all my fault. This is all my fault!

Lasarra Daelam:

"It was my fault!" Samwise says, tears are threatening to fall from his eyes. "If.. If I didn't agree to what Pippin and Merry said, Frodo wouldn't have been hurt!"

"Samwise, you are not to blame." I tell him but he just shakes his head.

"No." He replies, tears already falling from his eyes. "It was my fault. I knew something bad would happen. But I.. I still.."

"Samwise." I say in a voice with that of authority and this stops him from blaming himself further.

I kneel in front of him, grabbing both of his shoulders. "It was not your fault." I say. "Frodo wouldn't blame you. And neither should you blame yourself."

His face contorts into that which is about to burst out crying.  "B-but!"

"Lasarra is right, Sam." We hear Frodo say and both me and Sam turn to him.

Frodo walks toward Sam, smiling. "I do not blame you." He says.

And they both embrace each other, with Samwise crying and apologizing over and over and Frodo telling him it's not his fault.

I watch them silently. True Friendship. It is a very unique bond. Your friends would be willing to overlook your faults and still care for you either way. I have found friends here. And I intend to keep them. No matter what the cost.

"Excuse me for intruding." An elf says. "But Lord Elrond summons Lady Lasarra and Master Frodo."

The secret council is about to start. It seems Lord Elrond found me worthy of joining the council. Or perhaps Gandalf told him to. Either way,  here I am, sitting in between Frodo and Gandalf.

I look around. The only people here whom I recognize are Strider, Gandalf and Frodo. 

"Strangers from distant lands, friends of old; you have been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor." Lord Elrond says, gaining everyone's attention. "Middle-earth stands upon the brink of destruction. None can escape it. You will unite, or you will fall. Each race is bound to this fate - doom."

He pauses and after a while turns to Frodo. "Bring forth the ring, Frodo."

Frodo hesitates. Slowly, he stands from the chair and sets the ring on a stone table just near Lord Elrond.

I look at the ring. Although not visible, I can feel it produce an aura with that of pure dark energy. But I look away from it. There is no way I'm gonna let a ring take control of me.

"Lasarra?" Frodo calls to me. I turn to him.

"Yes, Frodo?" I say, smiling at him.

"Are you okay?" He asks, looking worried.

"I am fine." I tell him, touching his head gently.

"So it is true.", someone speaks up, getting my attention. My eyes fall on a man. He's the only other younger man who's attending the council aside from Strider. However, I do not like the way he's looking at the ring.

"In a dream, I saw the eastern sky grow dark." The same man continues to speak. "But in the West, a pale light lingered." With each word he says, he slowly takes a step toward the ring, still looking at it in a way a do not like.

"A voice was crying, 'Doom is near at hand. Isildur's bane is found." He says as he stretches his arm to reach for the ring. "Isildur's bane is found. Isildur's bane."

"Boromir!" Lord Elrond yells what I assume is the man's name, standing to stop him. But Gandalf chants words in elvish. I do not know their meaning but it causes the whole atmosphere to darken and the earth to shake in a slight tremor.

Everyone looks away in fear including Boromir. He cowers back to his chair, seating himself. Once Gandalf stops chanting, the atmosphere turns bright again.

"Never before has any voice uttered the words of that tongue here in Imladris." Lord Elrond speaks to Gandalf harshly.

"I do not ask your pardon, Master Elrond.", Gandalf says. "For the black speech of Mordor may yet be heard in every corner of the West. The ring is altogether evil!" He directs the last sentence to all of us.

"It is a gift." Boromir says again, standing up. "A gift to the foes of Mordor. Why not use this ring? Long has my father, the Steward of Gondor kept the forces of Mordor at bay. By the blood of our people are your lands kept safe!"

He gazes at the ring, looking like he wants to take it once more but he doesn't try to this time. "Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy!" He states as if commanding us. "Let us use it against him!"

"You cannot wield it." Strider says in his usual calm voice. "None of us can. The one ring answers to Sauron alone. It has no other master."

Boromir turns to Strider, anger evident in his eyes. "And what would a ranger know of this matter?"

I narrow my eyes at Boromir. 

Strider helped me and my friend hobbits. I consider him a friend. And I do not tolerate strangers to look down upon my friends.

I was about to stand but a blonde elf, beats me to it. "This is no mere ranger!" He states, making Boromir turn to him. "He is Aragorn, son of Arathorn. You owe him your allegiance."

Wait what? I look at Strider, who doesn't do anything to deny what the elf has said. It's true then. He is Aragorn, Isildur's descendant. Father had told me that Aragorn was exiled. To meet him during my journey was a work of fate.

"Aragorn?" Boromir says in disbelief, turning to Aragorn. "This is Isildur's heir?

"And heir to the throne of Gondor." The blonde elf adds.

"Havo dad, Legolas." Aragorn says to the blonde elf who must be Legolas since that is what Aragorn called him. (Sit down)

"Gondor has no King." Boromir announces, to which I raise an eyebrow at. He has no right to say that.

He turns to Aragorn. "Gondor needs no King." He says before sitting down.

There is silence in the council.

"Aragorn is right." Gandalf then announces. "We cannot use it."

"You have only one choice." Lord Elrond says, standing from his chair. "The ring must be destroyed."

Everyone doesn't say anything.

"Then what are we waiting for?" A loud voice says making me turn to to whoever owns the voice. It's a dwarf.

He stands and takes his ax. With a battle cry, he swings it viciously at the ring.

Gandalf:

I move to stop Gimli from trying to destroy the ring as it cannot be destroyed by mere strength nor by any form of weapon. But I see a flash of gold and next, we hear the sound of metal hitting metal echo through the halls.

Lasarra is holding her sword strangely but had blocked the dwarf's axe with ease. How she got in between Gimli and the ring at such a short time in her condition is a mystery.

"Lasarra!" Frodo exclaims and is immediately beside the golden-haired girl, knowing very well that Lasarra has not recovered from her injuries yet. And to block such a strong attack could leave a great toll on her.

"What's this?!" Gimli yells, angered that someone dares stand in his way. "A woman?!"

"I may be a woman but that does not make me inferior to you, Master Dwarf." Lasarra states, pushing Gimli backwards by thrusting her sword forwards.

"Stupid woman!" I hear Gimli grumble under his breath. "Getting in my way!"

"I have my reasons, Master Dwarf." Lasarra says, who might have heard him. "Master Elrond knows very well what that reason is."

I grab a hold on Lasarra's shoulder. "That is enough, Lasarra." I tell her. "Sit back down."

She heaves a sigh but agress with me nonetheless.

I walk her back to her chair with Frodo to help her walk. "Next time don't be reckless, child." I scold her in a whisper. "You have not fully recovered yet."

She gives me a nod and I sit back on my chair.

"The ring cannot be destroyed, Gimli, son of Gloin, by any craft we here possess." Lord Elrond explains to Gimli. "The ring was made in the fires of Mount Doom. Only there, it can be undone. It must be taken deep into Mordor and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came. One of you must do this."

Lasarra Daelam:

I try to block out the pain from my aching limbs. Blocking an attack from a dwarf was indeed a senseless act. No wonder Gandalf scolded me.

Maybe I should have let the dwarf hit the ring so he can see for himself what would happen if he did. Now, I did not only harm myself but have also earned an enemy. I hear dwarves tend to hold a grudge.

"NEVER TRUST AN ELF!" Someone yells, making me pay attention to the council once again.

Everyone had started to argue amongst themselves with voices so loud, I can't make out what they are saying. Even Gandalf joins them but Frodo and I stay seated, watching the argument take place.

I, myself, do not know what they are arguing about but it must be dire to have grown men act this way.

Suddenly, Frodo stands up. "I will take it!", he yells. But nobody hears.

"I will take it!!" He yells in a much louder voice. This causes everyone to be silent and face him.

"I will take the ring to Mordor.", Frodo states. "Although. I do not know the way."

"I will help you bear this burden, Frodo Baggins." Gandalf says. "As long as it is yours to bear."

Gandalf takes his place beside Frodo.

"If by my life or death I can protect you, I will." Aragorn says as he walks towards Frodo and kneels in front of him. "You have my sword."

"And my bow." The blonde elf who defended Aragorn not too long ago says. He takes his place beside Aragorn.

"And my ax." The brown haired dwarf whom I crossed, says.

"You carry the fates of us all, little one." The blonde armored man says. "If this is indeed the will of the council, then Gondor will see it done." He takes his place with the others.

I smile at the events that occur and make my way in front of Frodo, kneeling and ruffling his hair. "My dear Frodo, there is not much I can offer." I tell him. "But know that I will do what I can to aid you."

"Heh!" The dwarf says. "A woman with us?! You will only drag us down!"

"Master Gimli!" Gandalf reprimands him but the dwarf just ignores it. So, Gimli is his name.

"You judge me like you've seen what I can do, Master Gimli." I tell the dwarf as I take my place beside Frodo. "See for yourself the things that I can do and you may judge me."

He just grunts at that and so I just ignore him.

We hear someone shout from the bushes. It was Samwise. He rushes his way to the group.

"Mr. Frodo's not going anywhere without me." He says, facing Lord Elrond when he finishes.

"It is hardly possible to separate you. Even when he is summoned to a secret council and you are not." Lord Elrond says with a small smile that I can say is amused.

"Oy! We are coming too!" Another voice exclaims. Merry. He and Pippin run out from nowhere and joins the group.

"You'll have to send us home tied up in a sack to stop us!" Merry adds to which Pippin nods.

"Anyway." Pippin says. "You need people of this sort of intelligence on this sort of mission." Pause. "Quest." Pause "Thing." He finally finishes with a nod.

"Well that rules you out, Pip!" Merry whispers to Pippin loudly so everyone can hear.

I smile as I look at them.

"Ten companions." Lord Elrond says with a nod. "So be it. You shall be the Fellowship of the Ring."

"Great!" Pippin exclaims, excitedly but he drops his grin after a while. "Where are we going?"

I let out a small laugh at his innocence as I ruffle his hair. "Oh Pippin." 

And so that was it. We became the Fellowship of the Ring. Tomorrow we will set out for Mordor. And I will do what I can to protect my friends.
