They moved towards the taxi rank.

'The Roosevelt Hotel', Doctor Shearer said to the driver. 

'Fine, lady'.

He saw the girl's tag and name on her left wrist.

'What's the matter?', he asked her.

'It's a virus. An epidemic in New York', Maggie answered.

'Shit!', the taxi driver said.

He drove off, and prayed to God.

It was another ten minutes before they arrived at the Hotel.
