I never meant to be a poet.

I never thought I would. 

I never put my thoughts in rhymes.

I never thought I could.

But feelings welled up in my chest.

My head was full of thoughts.

Thoughts that I had never shared,

Although I knew I ought.

Then just one line came to my head.

From where, i do not know.

But I knew I had to find it's rhyme. 

Then see where it would go.

All the rhymes fell into place 

The way I thought they would never do.

Before I knew what was happening.

I'd written it all the way through.

I never meant to be a poet

I never thought I would. 

I never put my thoughts in rhymes.

Until I realized that I could.
