2010年4月14日，青海發生地震其間，三名孩子和三名老師被困於倒塌的孤兒院。香港義工黃福榮(人稱阿福）本已成功逃脫，得悉此事後重返危樓救人。第一次重返現場，成功救出1名兒童及教師。第二次重返樓房，在拯救3名幼童其間遇上6.1級餘震，3個孩童被阿福推到角落，阿福本人則被瓦礫埋未。剩下兩名教師被他人救出。
