Jed was used to blending into the background, being pushed around by the other kids at his school. Freak. Weirdo. Loser. He was all of these things. Numb. He was this as well. 

He hated himself and the loneliness which plagued him. In comes Daniel, blond, blue eyed, perfect and entirely out of Jed's league.
