The lake was a distant memory, as she fled her bedroom. Nearby was a key on the hall stand; the key was her salvation. She grabbed it, and opened the front door. She ran away in her blue dress. She was barefoot. It didn't matter. Then, she breathed hard, as she walked into the shadows.
