25 years ago the government created a law where having children was illegal. Ever child is created by scientists. No girls are created in the lab only boys. Azalea Harper lives in a small town heavily guarded. Her brother Nate has been taking care of her all her life.

Nate loves his sister but he desires to grow old and have children, but he can't do that when he's always keeping his sister safe.  After a fight the siblings separate for year and discover what life is like without the other.
