He watched the ant burrow inside the dirt mound. Lying flat he picked at it with a stick. Carving a path inside he saw more and more ants scurrying about. He frantically searched for his beloved ant, the one with wings on. Never before had he seen such a thing, looking more like a wasp. The boy shut his eyes and cried in pain. His face burned from the liquid sprayed by the ants. He rose, desperately rubbing his eyes, calling out to his mom. Agonizing pain brought the boy to his knees. He then sprouted wings and flew away.
