James rushed forward, not realising the pain that filled him from all corners of his body, and hugged him.
Tears began to fall as he whispered, "Oh, Azelf. I'm so sorry... so sorry..."
"You are forgiven." Azelf looked down at him with old, eyes and pulled him closer.
James looked up.
"But... you..."
Azelf began to speak, each word purposeful and well-pronounced.
"You see, we are not exactly dead," Azelf explained. "And yet not exactly alive either."We exist at the moment as mystical forms of energy - able to feel pain and touch physical things but... if left for too long, we will all simply waste away."
"Waste- away?" Heather was speaking, as if she'd only just joined the conversation. "How do we - you know, not waste away then? Or is it just a prolonged before we all due again?"
"There is a way."
James suddenly realised he was still holding on to Azelf, and quickly pulled himself away.
Azelf continued.
"There is a mystical waterfall which is claimed to have mystical healing powers for those, mortal or not, who stand in its presence."
"And it's real?"
"Yes."
"Do you... know where it is?"
Azelf chuckled slightly.
"Why, yes! Why, in my younger days, I visited it once. It was so serene, beautiful... overflowing with energy..."
"Azelf! Are you talkieng about Angel Falls again?" Came a voice of silk.
Antheia, in robes as delicate as her voice, appeared by the door. Nothing about her had changed, except for what seemed like an entirely new outfit - her white robes, pearl-encrusted tiara and matching jewellery and pearl-coloured slippers.
"Angel Falls is a place of legend."
"And so is The Hero," replied Azelf with a sly smile.
Antheia smiled back, as if she'D just realised as well.
Suddenly there was an explosion of rose petals an all-too-familiar face appeared.
"Valentine!" James shouted. Valentine attempted a smile.
"Hi..."
James' face dropped.
"What's... the matter?"
"I'm... I'M SO SORRY ABOUT BEFORE! ABOUT WHAT I DID-!" he burst out, in tears. He covered his face, stifling a sob. "It's all my fault..."
James grinned, putting his hand on Valentine's shoulder.230Please respect copyright.PENANAPFg3b4Y8gK
"It's all fine," he whispered quietly into Valentine's ear. "It's all fine. I'm not mad at you, and I never was, and it wasn't all your fault."
Valentine looked up at him with wet eyes.
"Thanks."
"Azelf!" Heather said suddenly, as she seemed to have a habit of doing. "Excuse me for asking, but what do you mean by 'The Hero'?"
Azelf chuckled once again. "Simply a legend," he said, "of an Angel who is destined to save Earth from the war of Heaven and Hell."
"But what did you mean about it being real?"
Azelf put on one of his mysterious faces.
"You, my child, are a part of it. It will come very soon, and when it does, you'll know."
