A short story I wrote a few years ago and decided to publish. {Inspired by the movie 30 days of Darkness}

Living in a small town found deep within Alaska, a secluded young woman is left alone to house sit. Experiencing  a solid month of darkness every year, most of the residents head south for the winter, though some townspeople remain behind. However, those that stay regret their decision when, one year, hungry vampires descend on the remote town to feed. There the protagonist comes face to face with one of the beasts. Will she make it out alive? Or will she find herself falling for the very beast she fears?
