Hmm, well firstly I think his marriage would’ve happened on a completely different timeline than what the cannon states. Whereas I can completely see Naruto marrying someone within a year of dating them, I absolutely cannot see Sasuke doing the same thing, but the cannon timeline seems to suggest otherwise. I think that’s really out of character for him, and if he were to get in a relationship with Karin I don’t think that would’ve been possible. They both went through do many emotionally scarring things in their life, I don’t think they would be ready for any long-term romantic relationships till they were well into their twenties, and I don’t see them marrying till their thirties. I bring this up because, by the time they got married, they would be well into adulthood and more mature and calm-ish than what they were in Shippuden during their interactions.
As to their actual marriage, I think that in public looking at them from an outside perspective, they wouldn’t appear affectionate at all and that they would seem more like close colleges with a shared interest, and I think that it would be very easy to mistake their bond for a platonic one. In private, when they’re alone, I think they would be much more intimate (especially Karin) and emotional, but not overly so. As in, i don’t think they would have the supper lovey-dovey or hyper passionate/sexual bond that fan-fictions spawn off of. If anything, because of Sasuke's experiences and personality, I would think Sasuke would be almost asexual and aromantic at times.
Their relationship would be based off mutual respect and understanding, so their would be a lot of trust and freedom between the two of them. They wouldn’t be clingy or demanding, and they wouldn’t feel the need to supervise each other. If Karin wanted to hang out with some guys for the weekend, Sasuke wouldn’t care less, he knows he can trust he and that she has the right to befriend who she chooses. If Sasuke made plans to go somewhere without Karin, she wouldn’t mind, he’s a grown man that knows have to manage his time. They would understand each others trauma and understand that they can’t expect the other to act the way ‘normal’ people do (extra emphasis on those air-quotes).When they need space, they give it freely, and if one of them needs to talk the other will listen quietly. They wouldn’t go on lots of dates, but they would spend a lot of time just being near each other while quietly doing separate things. They would be confident in their relationship, and defiantly not insecure or blushy or any of that nonsense.
None of this is to say that they wouldn’t deeply care about each other, and if they thought that their marriage partner was in danger, they wouldn’t just raise h*ll, they would become it. They have faith in each other’s strength and rely on the other in battle, but they would never allow the other to get hurt. If you want to see them lose their facade of indifference in a heartbeat, put the other in mortal danger in front of their eyes, then you’ll see how much they care beyond any shadow of a doubt.
As for children, I think Sasuke would want to have many kids, purely for restoration purposes. But he would become quietly attached to all of them. In regards to parenting, Sasuke would be a very strict parent, and a rather clumsy one in the emotional sense, but he would be extremely protective. It just wouldn’t always show. Karin would be more liberal with her children, at times she would be tough, but at others she would just do tons of crazy stuff with them so that they don’t miss out on all the opportunities she never had. The Uchiha family (Karin would keep her clan name, I can’t image her changing it for anyone less than god) would have a very strong bond with each other, but the family would by no means be perfect. Sasuke would occasionally snap and hurt his children’s feelings or scare them, and Karin would have absolutely no idea how to deal with family problems. Both parents would be a t a loss in teaching their children social skills, and would have a lot of trouble conveying to their kids how much they loved them.
I think that Karin and Sasuke would’ve made a much better compliment to each other as well, but that’s not even the real problem here. If Kishi had made SK happen as sloppily as he did SS, then i still would’ve been dissatisfied. SS could’ve been a good pairing, if he had developed it properly, and didn’t put the SSS family in such a awkward position with Sasuke incompatibility with the Sakura that shippuden created. If Sasuke had been given more time, Sakura been given more development, and their relationship given more time to flesh itself out and fix the problems, then the ship could’ve made a lot of sense The problem isn’t that it happened so much as it is that Kishi sloppily threw them together without solving any of the issues in their relationship, and refusing to give them any legitimate screen time because he knew that, as the characters are now, they would be completely incompatible.
