As she stopped to catch her breath, she looked behind her, eyes wide with terror. She tried to, but she couldn’t scream. Her cry for help would not be heard as the man -no- monster, slowly walked toward her. The hair on the back of the girl’s neck stood on end as she took in his horrific features.
A wide grin revealed sharpened teeth as his glowing yellow/green eyes flicked through her emotions with interest. He wore black jeans and a black jacket. Large work boots covered his feet and black gloves with hollowed out fingers revealed his long sharp nails. His long straight jet black hair hung barely passed his ears, framing his pale face. Despite some of his more terrifying features, he could’ve been considered handsome. But not now.
All she saw before her was a monster, a disgrace. She saw the very being that had killed the only person who had loved her. The only guy who could make her smile, who could bring her up when she was down. Who held her close when they watched horror movies and snuggled her against his chest on cold nights. And now he was gone. Because of this thing.
Anger welled up inside her and spilled out in the form of tears. She closed her eyes and hung her head in defeat. The man smirked in amusement and finally stopped, less than a foot before her. The girl looked up and flinched in surprise to see the thing finally standing right in front of her. She pressed herself closer to the wall and avoided his bright lime eyes as he watched her closely.
She flinched again and her heart began to pound as the creature wiped a tear from her cheek. His hand felt rough against her soft skin and his claw like nails left a small scratch in her face. “Shhhh...” the man cooed, “you don’t need to cry just yet” he stated with another smile. The girl sniffled but couldn’t hold back the thought of what this monster had done, and so she continued to weep. Her grief added to the man’s pleasure as he wiped away another tear with the top of his forefinger.
The girl whimpered again at his cold touch and a small sob escaped her dry throat. The thing simply moved closer, grabbing her jaw and forcing her to look at him. Gently he turned her head to better see the side of her tear stricken face.
She gasped and her eyes widened in terror at the site of the man’s elongated tongue. He snickered slightly at her shocked expression and slowly ran the tip of his unnaturally long tongue over the side of her face. The girl gasped and squirmed slightly in unison. In response the man tightened his grip and pulled back slightly to look her in the eye.
His bright glowing eyes pierced through hers and he gently trailed a long claw down her collar bone, leaving a small line of blood. The girl yelped quietly in pain and squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block out the hurt and grief. “w-what do you want…?” the girl stuttered fearfully. The man paused for a moment to look into her wide and frightened eyes.
He looked down, covering a smile that had carved itself into his lips. “I want your blood and flesh between my teeth and dripping from my hands” he murmured, watching the girls horror struck reaction with sadistic delight. “No one can save you, I made sure of that” he whispered, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.
Tears spilled from her eyes and she sobbed in agony. He’s right… she thought in anguish. Her body trembled with every heaving sob and she struggled to stay standing. He took everything… she told herself, what do I have to live for…? The last thing she saw was the monster’s hungry face before the world went dark and the creature devoured what was left.
