亞倫是一名程式設計員，因工作關係接觸到交友軟件「交心」，並於其中找到他的理想對象悠菲，繼而發展成為情侶。

悠菲是一位沒有戀愛經驗的愛情小說作家，因創作上遇上了瓶頸，多番掙扎下決定以網上交友為尋找戀愛的寫作靈感。

不過，「交心」原來並不單純的只是交友軟件，它還擁有智能，背地裡以手機監控著他們，並收集各項資料數據作分析及研究，最後成功掇合了亞倫與悠菲。

此外，「交心」的背後卻是一班野心勃勃的資產家，藉此收集各種不同的資料數據以實行一個跨時代的研發計劃，研發人型的智能聊天機械人。

於計劃的進程中，將亞倫及悠菲的命運徹底改寫，並引發了連場的悲劇。
