She was nice;

Clean, proper and polite,

I tried with all my might;

To make her realize that I will always be by her side,

And I thought to myself;

That this girl is my best friend!

Oh boy was I wrong,

They share and encourage, talk and walk together, love and laugh on and on but oh brother, i guess we just didn't belong,

I remembered your birthday, I loved and laughed thinking one day you'll meet me at the bend;

I just wanted to be a friend,

But all you did was pretend,

While i was waiting for you at the dead end,

One which I don't want to ever look back upon again,

Farewell my first school fray-end

Entering college;

I'll never repeat my past mistakes, I vowed,

and there she was tall, loud and proud;

Drifting among the crowd,

Three years together you were perfect in every way,

This girl is a true friend, I must say;

As I dreamed away,

Never thought I'd be betrayed in the worst of ways,

Why didn't I realize it sooner that you were so fake?

This time there was nothing left to mend, it was just a bitter end,

Realising now that behind that innocent face was a snake here to ruin everything in its wake,

Haha, jokes on me,

I just wanted a friend;

Now all I have are wounds to tend.
