A few weeks have passed
Ross has been having bad days at work lately...
Adam lets Ross take a day off
Adam's P.O.V
I heard the door slam shut, and I was feeding Mason currently. I looked over and saw Ross, he looked pissed. I got up and saw him walk towards me.
"I'M DONE!"
"What's wrong..?"
"I'm tired of getting pushed around and shit!"
I pulled him into a hug, rubbing his back and soothing him. I heard him sigh and I hugged him tighter. But on the inside, I was furious.
"You're taking the day off tomorrow. That's coming from me as your lover and your boss."
"Okay Adam.."
I kissed his cheek and let him rest for the rest of the day. He slept while I took care of the house. I let him move in with me because my place is much larger than his. And, it'd be easier to deal with a child in a large home than an apartment.
It seemed as if each little thing was eating away my sanity. But it was getting late. I stayed up until I got tired, then soon went to bed.
Ross's P.O.V
I laid in bed, trying to sleep. Adam was beside me, sound asleep. I recollected my thoughts.
Just great Ross, Adam's got enough problems in his hands.
I sighed and closed my eyes, letting darkness and sleep take over me as the hours felt like years.
Adam's P.O.V
I woke up before Ross did the following morning and got out of bed without waking him. I left a note on the counter that told him to stay home today.
As I got into my black convertible, I gripped the steering wheel with tight fists. My knuckles were turning white.
It wasn't for about ten minutes until I got to the office building, and surprisingly, no one had taken my spot. I parked in the spot and shut off my car. As I removed my keys, I got out of my car and locked it. I put my keys in my pocket and walked inside the building.
A wicked grin on my face, clenched fists, heavy steps, and short breaths.
The first person I saw was Max
He looked at me and smiled. Max waved.
"Hey Adam."
My grin and facial expression turned into an evil glare. Max looked a little afraid. But he looked terrified when I grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him in with both hands.
"What the fuck did you and the guys do to Ross while I was gone?!"
"Adam....ca-calm down. It wasn't me this time, I swear..!"
"Then who. Did. It?!"
"Cory, Bar-Barney, Nick, and Scott."
I let go of him with a shove that made him hit the wall. I went straight to Barney's office. He was recording.
I barged in the office without warning, and I saw him look at me scared.
"H-Hey! Adam. Heheh...longs time nos see?"
I pulled his arm, dragging him to stand up. I shoved him into a wall and began to punch him hard in the stomach. He had began to cough, and certain enough there'd be bruises. Then I gave him a final punch to the chest after minutes gutting him in the stomach.
"I've given you one warning already, consider this a lesson."
I left with no other words said and I was on my way to find Cory.
In matters of minutes, I had given the people named a good lesson. But Barney had gotten the worst outcome. I went into my office and slammed the door. I sat in my chair and slumped back, sighing. I was like that in the silence for a while until I heard my door open.
"Hey pal.."
It was Jake.
"Sup.." I sighed.
"You did it for Ross, didn't you?"
I nodded and turned, facing him. He put his hand on my shoulder and I looked down. I didn't feel good, but I didn't feel bad for doing it either.
Jake and I talked for a little bit, then he left. It was fairly late in the morning. About nine in the morning.
The day went on, mostly normal. Despite Barney had to go home because I had hurt him badly. But no one else knew that. I sighed and waited the day out. But at the end of the day, I returned home and saw Ross smiling as he watched TV and occupied Mason.
I smiled and sat beside Ross. I gave him a small kiss on the cheek before putting my arm around him. He looked at me and kissed me on the temple.
"Hey, how did work go today?"
"Honestly, it sucked ass. But I hurt the ones who messed with you. Especially Barney."
"Honestly, I normally wouldn't say this, but thank you."
I held his hand, I held him tight.
"You don't know how much I love you Ross. And I can't thank you enough for coming into my office that one day and lifting me up, not literally, but you know what I mean.."
"I love you too Adam, I wouldn't be here in this room with you if it weren't for you."
