Jarad stood in front of the desk in my office, listening to the conversation between me and a billionaire, the CEO of I-Tech, the most popular and successful business in the world. Apparently Mr. Alonzo the CEO needs a lawyer and considered me the best, and is also willing to pay me tons of money if I take the job, but here comes the fucking scary part, he wants me to fly to New York!

WHY DID I HAVE TO GO TO NEW YORK TO MESS UP!!!

"Yes sir, I will be in New York first thing."

"I'm looking forward to your arrival, Mr. Mathews!"

After I hung up, I looked at Jarad's face. His eyes were wide open and mouth on the floor. At first I was a little confused as to why but then it hit me.

"Did I just tell him I was coming to New York?"

Jarad put a weird smile on his face and shook his head. 

My heart starts beating out of my chest... no scratch.... that's an understatement, my heart kicked a hole through my chest and ran a fucking mile away.

"Look Ty, I'm happy for you and all that shit, but are you seriously going to take this job, just like that, no talking to Diamond first, NOTHING!?!?" Jarad says looking scared for me. 

Even though the guy pisses me off sometimes, he's actually a really good friend, but I will never tell him that.

"What was I supposed to tell the fucking richest guy on the planet? NO? So I might as well get my shit together, think of a long-ass apologetic way to tell Diamond, and do my job!"

Tyler calm down. There is no need to get worked up about this.

"Okay, but dude, don't lose your head when you get there. Like you said, your just going to do your job. After that get your ass on the next flight out before you even have time to do any stupid shit. What you have with Diamond is good man, I don't want you to fuck it up again."
