I hear the ticking of the clock.

I see the vast room of books before me.

I smell the dust that’s laid inside these walls for centuries. 

I taste the hot herbal tea burn my tongue. 

I touch the sacred journal of secrets close to my chest.

I step one more foot closer towards the burning fireplace beside me.

I throw the old and withered book into the flames and watch it crumble into black.

“There,” I whisper quietly. “Are you happy now, my queen?"
