I used to hate you,

knowing deep inside that I would love you someday

I felt like it was meant to,

though I couldn't tell how or when, or what to say.

I fell in love with many others,

though I didn't write about most of them,

so they don't count

and a lot of them didn't even notice

so it's an insignificant amount.

Seeing you

makes me feel blue

because I'm not yours,

not seeing you

makes me feel blue

because it hurts.

So what should I do?

I know one is better than two

souls apart waiting forever

to meet or even gaze at each other.

Honeymoon,

we are doomed

to long for a feeling we couldn't assume

it would be so big it would fill up the room

it's like a bang that wouldn't go boom,

like a porcupine in a sea of balloons.
