My heart pumps blood through my veins

it keeps me alive but it drives me insane

when we were young we were little boys

we learned to feel safe in a world that's destroyed.

It wasn't for us

you weren't for me

you escaped

well I was born free.

You're all grown up now

while I still feel lost

I thought adults didn't

but I was wrong like most.

I'm like nothing you've ever seen before

so kiss me like it could end all the wars.

Oh my God, your eyes are insane

insanely beautiful, what else can I say?

when we were young you spoke with my voice

but after a while your words drowned in the noise.

Will we meet again?

I don't think we will

I'm trying to escape

while you're finally free.

We could have been lovers

long before we became friends

you were never someone

I would likely forget

but now it's over

oh it's over and dead

my dream is to meet you

and pick up where we left

and if it happened,

I'd give it my best.
