The Prince of The Paper - the woods

If I were a princess trapped in a castle

I would have locked myself in

built myself that whole thing,

brick by brick

but I know I am the prince,

who fights the dragon

and gets to face the antagonist.

It's good to find yourself,

deep down in the end

the place where you tripped and fell

where you never did your best.

I never was afraid of the woods,

though mom said I should have been

if these creatures don't get out, I thought,

they won't mind me getting in.

I felt blue when it was good

it hurt my soul when I felt free

I convinced myself I loved the rules

then got killed like a martyr 'cause of it.

I always looked for a real sense

and I love writing in past tense

'cause it leads to no-nonsense

if it happened, now it's over

if it didn't, I'm not sober.

Well, writers never lie

but poets do it all the time.

So, I think the real purpose

is to recreate your wounds with words

knowing that you'll never hurt the one who used the weapon

or who gave you the venom

in most cases, it's someone you don't know

or from a life you can't recall

but they must have meant the world.

If I were still a child, to traps I'd surrender

set there from hunters I wouldn't even remember

but now I most be strong for the both of me

the one who fakes a smile and the one who

writes the poetry.

It's good to find yourself, deep down in the end

the place where your wounded soul dwells

where you always tried your best.
