A very tall dark skin man was standing in front of the door.
"Hey!" I shouted sitting up. "You're that man from the restaurant. You've got a lot of explaining to do. What the what man you total blown our cover."
"My apologies for that young lady I was just curious." He stated. "That means I was correct right?"
"Wow!" Lisanna stated. "You really don't have any manners, do you?"
"LISANNA!" I shouted.
"What I'm just saying." Lisanna replied.
"Anyway, we still have bigger problems that This man's manners." I stated. "Like where that trapdoor came from."
"You mean that trapdoor?" The man asked. "I made it."
"Really," Lisanna started. "You made it?"
"I doubt that anyone could create even a tiny door that in under a few seconds." Cana stated.
"That's cause I made it a few years ago." He replied.
"So you live here?" I asked. The man laughed.
"Oh no." The man replied. "This is just my escape room. I used to bring my partner down here every time he mess up inside the restaurant."
He then went to the nightstand and lifted a picture frame. The picture revealed 2 men standing on the beach. The first one was tall with dark brown skin and a square like jaw. He was wearing a thick black shirt and blue jeans. He had short hair almost bald to be exact. The second man was short and was wearing a grey sweatshirt with black skinny jeans. He was trying to pull away from the first man, who was mess with his hair. There was a note attached to the bottom of it.
It read:
- June 9th 2013,
Today marks the first day of our quest. Today I, Chris Mcclean will find my sister,-
Snatch!
"You know it isn't polite to look through other people's stuff." The man stared grabbing the picture.
"I'm assuming he's the 'partner' to were talking about?" Cana asked. The man smiled.
"Yep!" He replied. "Chris and I known eachother for a long time."
Then he stared at us.
"Well?" He asked. "Aren't you going to ask me for my name?"
"Or maybe you could just tell us?" Cana stated. He glared at her.
"It's Chef." He stated narrowing his eyes. "Chef Hatchet."
"Well you probably want to know our names, I'm......"
"Lisanna Strauss and you two are Cana Alberona and Levy McGarden from the Fairytail guild right?" He finished off. I'm pretty sure that my jaw dropped off.
"How do you know about our guild?" Lisanna asked.
"Um....I'm pretty sure almost every mage knows about Fairytail." Chef replied.
"What do you mean mage?" Cana asked. Chef then chuckled.
"I thought you guys were smart," Chef replied. "You know what it'll be better if I show you."
Then he began to looked around.
"Perfect!" He shouted looking at the lamp on the nightstand.
First, he drew a circle on top of the lamp. Blue light began to surround the lamp until the whole lamp disappeared. When the light disappeared it revealed a clear blue crystal ball. Then, he twirled his hands around eachother to make a small blue orb. Finally, he blew on the orb and whispered something to it. It landed inside the crystal ball and made it glow.
"Look inside it." Chef stated. So we did.
On the inside of the ball was The same restaurant that we've been to earlier but calm and peaceful. The same people who were in that crazy mob 10 minutes ago were sitting down, eating calmly as if nothing happened.
"This is a trick, right?" Cana asked.
"The place is surprising calm." I stated.
"Almost like we weren't there." Lisanna added.
"They probably forgot you 3." Chef suggested.
"I doubt we were out for that long." Cana said.
"It usually takes at least a couple of weeks for people to forgot or to stop caring." I added.
"Maybe it's magic." Cana suggested.
" Do you have something to do with it?" I asked him.
"The trapdoor has a spell on it." He replied. Lisanna and Cana both raised an eyebrow. I just stared at him curiously.
"Do I really have to explain how?" He asked. The 3 of us nodded.
"The door is enchanted to chase anyone who is in the restaurant to forget about the people who go through the trapdoor." Chef explained.
"And why would you make an enchanted trapdoor?" Cana asked.
"None of your business, now I gotta good luck from here." Chef replied walking away.
"Wait, you can't just leave us here." Lisanna shouted.
"I can and I will." Chef replied. "Besides, I'm late for the airport. Got carry a group of kids to camp." Then he smiled. "Say, why don't the 3 of you come with me?"
"Thanks for the offer but we're not interested." Cana said before I could open my mouth.
"Yeah I'm with Cana on this one." I stated. "It's not exactly same to for us to do public travel.
"I'm flying the plane you know." Chef stated. Lisanna and I stared at him in shock. "What? Us mages have to find someway to survive. "
"So you're a pilot?" I asked.
"No." He replied. "It's just something I do for my boss. I'm actually a chef."
I stated curiously at him.
"So is your partner your boss?" Lisanna asked.
Chef sighed.
"Yes he is." He replied.
"So what do you and Chris do for a living?" I asked.
"Oh just boss kids around after tricking them into becoming hostages." Chef replied. We stared at him in shock. "We host a reality tv show. It's basically the same thing."
"Oh...." Lisanna and I said in unison. Cana just shrugged.
"You know why don't you, come with me to the island." Chef asked. "A new season's about to begin, it'll be fun."
"Like I said earlier not interested." Cana stated.
"Are you sure?" He asked. "I'm flying and it's on a remote island, it's perfectly safe."
"I guess it's okay." Lisanna said as I nodded. Cana didn't look interested.
"Winner gets a million bucks." Chef said trying to convince her.
"Still no." She replied. Then Chef's phone rang. He then checked his phone and smiled.
"Maybe it's wise for you to come." Chef stated.
"And why is it wise?" Cana asked.
"Because your friends are participating as well as others." He replied.
"Fine." Cana said. "But only because I need to speak to Erza."
