There is a shadow that stands by me 

When I quickly glance to see,

It gets closer to me.

When I look away once more,

The shadow looms over me.

Staring down at me.

In my dreams it chases me.

It races to me.

It hunts me

It stares me down

Hungrily.

The feeling never stops,

A haunting Shadow that never goes away.

Day by day. 

I glance over my shoulder scared of what I'll see.

Because there are shadows 

Staring

Back 

At

 Me.
