｢Psychikos」（意為生靈）即這個世界的總稱充斥著毫無止境的鬥爭、戰爭、紛爭，無數戰火使許多人失去家園，人們因為以己之私、意見相背、價值觀不同，使這個世界在看似和平的面具下慢慢破裂，其幕後主使甚至不是人類，在他的操縱下人類漸漸分崩離析，多次的戰爭和靈魔入侵使世界原本擁有的百座城市被摧毀，更有一些國家就此滅亡，剩下的大部分國家為了生存形成三大國「東日櫻」、「西歐貝」、「北伯利斯」，並利用現在人稱的「三子」的「御行」、「愛蘭」、「伯利」但仍然有自己特例獨行的國家「科特」是個高科技國家。雖然成功使人類不再自相殘殺，但靈魔更加的猖狂，甚至出現了進化種，具有智慧，並大多擁有人類的外貌，為了改善現況一群天生的特異人士挺身而出， 而他們的背後支持者「靈魂門」（Phychic Gate )是國際組織，這個組織專門尋找所謂的特異人士，並且對抗靈魔的來襲，這群人擁有超能力，並能自如的操縱「靈流」，他們有個專有名詞「靈獵人」(Phychohunter)，一切都是為了阻止靈魔的入侵。
