We finally reached the office and entered walking towards the elevator. "Wait, why did you even come to my apartment, Kai?"

I could tell Kai was still butthurt from me smacking him on the head, since he didn't face me, "I came to surprise you, dummy. Boss said I didn't have to go to work early and could come whenever I wanted."

"But how did you know boss told me that too?" I asked.

Kai faced me and smiled while placing his hand on my shoulder, "Instinct my friend, instinct." "Pfft, what the hell do you mean instinct." I laughed.

"Yeah you're right I just assumed." Kai laughed along, "If I got to come to work late, most likely you would too."

I nodded, " Yeah you're right. I mean it's not like you would benefit boss if you came early anyway."

The elevator opened and I exited while snickering to myself.

I headed to Kai's area and knocked on his table to get his attention. "Hey it's lunch time let's go get something to eat."

Kai coldly replied, "No I don't want to eat with you, I already made plans with Lucas."

I knew he was lying.

Kai is the WORST liar you could possibly meet in your entire lifetime.

But seriously? This baby is still butthurt?

And then it clicked.

I knew a way.

"How about we get...some ramennn? It's on mee." I innocently smiled at him.

It didn't take Kai long to change his cold angry expression to a happy and excited one, "Hehe okay I forgive you." He stood up and from his chair and quickly grabbed his phone and wallet, leaving me in satisfaction.

"Operation: make the baby happy, was successful," I whispered to myself. "Leggoo" Kai said, swinging his arm over my shoulder and caused me to do the same.

We reached the ramen bar and entered. "Irashai-mase!!" all the workers yelled out.

We sat down and ordered while chatting about random things, but somehow came to the topic of what happened this morning.

"Since now you know about Sahana and I being neighbors, there is something I have been meaning to get off of my chest." I explained.

"What is it?" Kai asked. I hesitated, "Well, to begin with, my first interaction with her didn't go so well, and didn't give off a good impression of me."

Kai became more curious, "What did you do Jai?" I scratched the back of my neck, indicating that I didn't really want to tell him, but his face expressed: I don't give the slightest shit.

"Well... I kind of snuck into her apartment, thinking that she would be ok with it...." Kai's eyes slowly widened, then his mouth.

But before he was about to scream his guts out, I closed his mouth with my hand but Kai swatted it away.

"Are you fucking out of your goddamn mind?? Why would you do something like that?? Even I know not to sneak into someone's fucking apartment?!" he tried his best to not cause a scene.

I gestured my hands to try and calm him down, "Ok, ok I know what I did was wrong-"

Kai cut me off, "WRONG? Jai, wrong is not the word for what you did?! You could have gone to ja-"

Then I cut him off. "Just listen to me will you?" I stared at him until he was completely silent and then continued, "Ok, I thought she wouldn't mind me coming over to her apartment because I thought she knew me. We passed each other several times and she smiled at me."

"But did she ever come up and talk to you?" Kai asked while pressing down on the bridge of his nose.

I looked down, "No.."

I reached home and saw a lady in front of Sahana's apartment.

I walked up to her, "Excuse me ma'am do you need help with something?" The woman turned to face me.

She was in her middle-ages and seemed very friendly. Slight streaks of grey flew throughout her hair, forming a bun, which complimented her style: a simple patterned blouse, with trousers and low inched heels.

"Ok feed him one cup," Mable handed me the keys to Sahana's apartment, "Keep these with you, I have another pair at home." She smiled.
