What the cops don't know is about the galvanized trash can behind the shed. And don't you open it either. I used Liquid Nails to glue it shut and also put all that duct tape around it. Tommy is in there. I guess you can tell his folks that he didn't run off with that girl like that thought. Maybe they won't be so mad or sad now. He was infected and was way beyond being help.

Author's Note:  Zombies?  Not exactly.  Just call them Infecteds. I'm not completely convinced that this is solely a YA novel but it isn't your traditional horror novel either.  It has elements of both.
