地獄的重點是無間：沒有間隔的受苦。故佛教把無間地獄稱為十八層地獄的底層，刑期以百億年計。

即使在裡面吃着珍饌、喝着美酒，身邊盡是傾國傾城的佳人，但要每日重複同樣的菜餚、同樣的流程、同樣的對話，定會把人逼狂！

無間亦有另一個意義：沒有空間的間隔。地獄不只在地下，在地上的人世也隨處可見。辦公室是個無間地獄，每人都重複着同樣的工作，機械式的問候，不了解別方，卻被逼在千多尺內安然無恙的相處，無法脫身。只可追逐虛無縹緲的星期五，發薪時買那些誘發無止盡慾望的奢侈品⋯⋯上班族以每週為一循環，不斷在無間地獄受苦。

幸好我還有音樂、還有藝術。在無間地獄戴上耳機看書，有空寫寫東西，也算是在地獄中找到一朵鮮花吧。
