父親看見我們來醫院探望便強撐病骨坐起身，把自己看起來精神抖擻，這是他愛面子的性格，不能改的，灰暗的臉色與斷續的喘聲卻無處掩藏。平日不多說話的我倆對望，我忍着不把半點憐憫之情流露，那只會打擊他的自尊。他眸中佈滿紅絲，卻又強忍淚水，不許自己在家人面前哭。憶起他總把心裡話忍着不說，久而久之我就沒多跟他說話了。現在回想起來，他大概是不擅表達，又一直辛勞地養着一群不了解自己的孩子。
