Here it is comforting

Each color flattering the next

Water too dense for my lungs

but air is not an option

when the alternative is bliss

Echos of my heartbeat

keeping time until my last

my eyes, unable to take in every detail

like an opaque shield

keeping the secrets of the reef

but why?

there are only dead men here
