As I opened my eyes I saw wires attached to my body. Beside me I saw Amanda crying her eyes out and Dylan trying to convince her while he himself was crying. I chuckled lowly at the sight and spoke up,
"No PDA guys." I said in a low tone. When they realised that I was conscious, they came running towards me and hugged me so tightly, that they were literally squeezing the life or of my body.
"No air." I managed to speak up. They moved away wiping their eyes. They both had relieved smile on their faces.
"Relax guys, don't expect me to die so quickly. I have a life to live." No sooner did I utter those words than Amanda slapped my mouth.
I chuckled at her 'reflex reaction'. We were having our own little family time. This is when the door decided to burst open revealing a man who looked liked he was in his late forty's and he had some of his men beside him.
His eyes looked red and puffy. He looked like he had been crying for a very long time.
"Aren't you Jake's little harlot"
He asked. My temper flared to it's peak.
"What the hell do you want?! And how dare you call my sister a harlot." Dylan yelled.
"What can you do about it young man" that old man challenged. Unexpectedly he brought his gun out.
My heart was thumping in my rib cage.
Amanda and Dylan froze.
"You killed Brenda!! You killed my wife! The love of my life!.
Tell me.... who do you work for. Why did you plan my innocent Brenda's death.
You could have killed me instead You WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT!!" The man yelled with all his might.
Realisation hit me. It was Brenda this man's wife. She pushed me aside when the car hit her. OMG!!
But this old man is misunderstanding stuff.
He thinks that I planned her murder.
" Mr.- "
"Knight, Victor knight." He said while pride radiated from his body.
"Well Mr. Knight, I guess you miss
understood stuff. Ac-"
"Cut the crap. I know the Truth."
