I walked out of my room after taking a hot shower.
Amanda called to inform that they were staying at her friend's place since it was raining heavily.
Iris has informed her family about her pregnancy. Initially, they were upset. But Amanda the problem solver had her own ways to handle the situation.
Lemme cook something today.
I hopped down the stairs and was above to enter the kitchen while I heard a loud banging sound from the door.
It startled me.
Who is that?
The noise was getting louder and louder.
I approached the door quickly and peeped into the tiny hole on the door.
Rafael.
Shit! He scared me.
I opened the door to see that he was partially wet.
"You startled me," I told.
He simply pushed me aside and entered the living room.
What the hell!
I walked into Dylan's room and got him a spare towel and Dylan's hoodie and sweatpants.
I handed it to him.
The entered the guestroom and banged the door.
He is acting as if he owns this place.
Such an egotistical a- person.
I entered the kitchen and started preparing hot chocolate for both of us.
He came out and settled on the couch and started watching some sports channel.
The doorbell rang.
"Raf, I am busy here, can you go check?" He walked toward the door and minutes later I heard Hayden's voice.
I walked to the living room t u meet him.
"Hayden, why are you here.....now?" I questioned him awkwardly.
"Well, Mandy has called my mum and asked her to give this to you."
"Give what?" I asked.
"Dinner. But we didn't know that you had some guests. Maybe I'll get some food for him too."
"No, that's a fine young man. We will share." Rafael replied arrogantly as he pulled me close to him.
Hayden looked at me suspiciously while I gave him a fake reassuring smile.
I seriously had no idea about why Rafael was behaving in such a manner. But I have to play along with him right?.
"Uh-okay then, I'll leave," Hayden replied and left the place quickly.
Rafael banged the door loudly which was enough to scare me.
"Who is that guy?" He snapped.
This made me lose my temper.
"None of your concern. " I retorted.
He pinned me to the wall and shouted.
"Who was the guy?!"
"Who was that girl?" I replied in a cold tone. As cold as ice. But silently.
He visibly relaxed and chuckled.
He placed his forehead on mine and asked
"Is my Bella bear jealous?"
"No" I replied even before he completed the question.
"She is Rachel. A childhood friend. "
"Oh.," I replied. I bend down and smiled. I am seriously crazy. I thought to myself.
Perks of being Iris' bestie. That crazy girl had polluted me.
"Who was he?" He asked again.
"A friend" I mumbled.
He opened his mouth to say something but the loud banging sound on the door distracted us.
"If it is that guy again then I am gonna kill him, Bella." He told and walked towards the door.
He opened the door and I saw a few men covering their faces with hoodies.
Even before I was able to comprehend what is happening I heard the sound of bullets.
I rushed towards the door, the guys ran out quickly.
My only concern was about Rafael.
He fell on the ground unconsciously.
"Rafael! RAFAEL! RAFAEL !" I screamed.
What am I supposed to do now?!
It's raining heavily.
I quickly ran to the guestroom and brought a cloth to tie on his wound.
Those men shot him near his left shoulder, very close to the heart.
It took time for me to tie the cloth but I managed to do it.
I picked my phone and tried calling Mandy.
Darn it!
I have no proper signal.
I tried calling from the landline, but it didn't happen. We haven't used the telephone for ages.
I quickly ran towards Rafael and tried waking him.
I ran to the kitchen to fetch some waters and sprinkled it on his face.
No response.
His breath was uneven now.
I ran out to Hayden's house and explained the situation to his mom.
So, Hayden asked me to go gather my stuff. He quickly ran to get his car.
I went home and took some money from the locker in Dylan's room, I took my purse,mobile and ran downstairs.
"Rafael!, nothing is gonna happen to you. I am here for you.
Open your eyes, Raf! Look at me.
Open your eyes.
He slightly opened his eyes and closed them again.
Hayden came inside and helped me carry Rafael from the house to his car and started heading towards the hospital.
"Rafael I can't lose you.
I won't lose you, Rafael.
I won't.
I don't wanna lose you!"
