Chapter 1
*Febby's Point of View*
It was just another day at school. It was still boring and stressful at the same time. Our assignments and projects are piling up and it's disturbing everyone's sleep at night.
The school just finished and I waited inside the classroom until the cleaners are finished cleaning. I was waiting for my friends to finish cleaning and managing the room. And once they were all done, we stayed the room even further to chat and laugh around until we eventually leave the school and head home.
I didn't want to go home yet. So I decided to stroll at the mall for a bit and look around, trying to keep myself entertained. But my legs are starting to kill me, and I have a bunch of other stuff to do so I sigh heavily in defeat and finally went home.
The house is empty. Mom and dad are probably still working. I don't know where my sister is though. Probably, just hanging out with her friends and classmates. Either way, she is pretty annoying so I guess I can work with that.
I flip my laptop open and scroll at Netflix, finding which movie to watch next. And once I picked which one, I went outside of my room to open the refrigerator, getting a few snacks inside and begin watching the movie in my cozy bedroom. Just chilling.
My life is just pretty ordinary and boring actually. Nothing special is happening in my life at all. Not to mention that it's actually full of a mess. And I don't want to add any more of it.
During the movie, my phone vibrated. I checked who it was:
Just a few of my friends asking me to do their homework. Again. I sigh and just accepted. So for a few hours I was pretty preoccupied with my homework, including theirs'.
I checked the time-- and it's 8:36 pm. I begin to wonder why is no one still here yet. I'm getting hungry. I haven't even eaten lunch earlier.
Words begin to fill in my head and I began getting all frustrated. I decided to make myself some scrambled eggs for my dinner instead.
A loud boom of thunder filled in my ears and I was startled by the loud sound. I turn around to see that it's raining heavily now.
"Ah, where the hell are they? It's a freaking storm outside. Aishh" I complained, but I was also worried about them.
My phone begins to ring. And I looked it up to see who it was. Someone is calling me. But it's an unknown number. I don't even recognize it. I answer it anyway.
"Hello?" I was accompanied by silence. It was an eerie sound but no one replied. All I could hear was just rain and some thunder.
I spoke my voice a little louder, "Hello??" no one was still answering. They probably butt-dialed me =3= so I hang up the phone and place it beside the counter and continue cooking.
The phone rings again. It's still the same unknown number. I answered it again, now confused.
"Hello? Who is this?" I asked. But no one answered me. All I could hear is just rain and...... Breathing?
Someone was breathing on the phone. And it turned louder and louder as time goes by. Who the hell is calling me? I was getting a bit paranoid so I hang up the phone. I place it back beside the counter and finish my dinner up. I turned the gasoline off and place my dinner on a plate until I heard my phone ringing again which startled me. I almost dropped everything but at least everything is alright.
I figured it was the same number again so I try to ignore it and start eating. This time, my phone is vibrating. I slowly peeked and read what the message is.
"Don't ignore me. Answer me." I was hella scared after reading that.
"That's the same unknown number who keeps on calling me..." I mumbled, stopped myself from chewing my food any further. I was disturbed. But I slowly and eventually swallow it.
I try to calm myself and continue eating but it's calling me again. I knew that whoever is calling me won't stop until I answer it. I hesitantly pick up my phone and answer.
"....h-hello?" all I could hear is heavy breathing. It's making me anxious.
"...look....at...the.. window...." the voice was eerily scary. My hair was rising. My heart begins to pound louder. I was scared. Is he outside my house?
I shut my eyes close and calming myself, but the number texted me again. I whimper and slowly turn to read what the message was.
"LOOK AT ME." I was scared for my life. I stare at the knife in front of me by the counter then another message pops up.
"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT." I couldn't focus my own breathing. He's a threat. Is he a robber? A killer? Who is he? I was too scared to move but my phone vibrated again. I'm trying so hard to hold back the tears and controlling my breath because I didn't want to look at it anymore. I hesitantly and slowly turn my face to the window.

My entire body freeze. What I see is a man standing in front of my window with a messed up face, smiling widely which makes it scarier.
He breathes on the window stale and begin to write it with his finger.
H.... I......
Then the window suddenly smashes into pieces! I suddenly jump from my chair and notice....... No.... It can't be..... The entire wall of that area has been smashed into chunks of pieces!! The cold wind begins to howl inside my home and different objects begin to fly and fall from the winds' direction.
Debris smokes begin to fill the room and I was coughing very badly from it. I cover myself from my pajama shirt and proceed to run away through the front door.
I hop through the fence by adrenaline then bolt away. Away from... From that thing!
It's so weird and creepy.. I can hear his voice echoing in my mind. He keeps on laughing and laughing and I can't stop myself from listening to that voice. I can't think straight. I can't breathe well. I'm running in my bare feet. It's cold. It's raining. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know where I should be going. Can I really go to the police and report about this? Obviously, the answer is NO!
"STAY AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" I screamed at the voice, whoever it was, it's really getting in my head. I'm going crazy. Oh God, oh fuck! What should I do?!
"Left....." a soft and gentle voice echoes in my mind. It was comforting but I didn't know who said that. It was obvious that it wasn't the creepy, old man. It sounded like a girl.
Without even thinking about it, I immediately turned left, continuing to run. It was leading me out of the road and somewhere else instead.
A strong blow of the wind pushes me that leaves me flying then falling to the ground, "Aah!" my body is aching and I'm out of breath. I couldn't move my body.
I turned my head and see that the creepy old man is creeping in closer and faster. But he wasn't walking or running, he was flying close to the ground. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I push myself to get up and continue running but the impact was too much. I don't have the energy left to get up anymore. I whimper and cry for help but it was obvious that no one can hear me. We're too far from the anyone's houses anymore. I cover myself and cry and shout,
"PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE, DON'T KILL ME!!" I pleaded. But I'm sure he won't listen. His eyes are already screaming malice and death.
Is this how I'll die?
"I cast upon the element of earth and ground, heed my call, surround and protect the unfortunate. Let the earth quake and shake, bring her to safety." the voice echoes in my mind softly again.
The ground begins to shake and behind me, a wall made out of rocks and grounds shields me just as the wall was suddenly slice in half. It feels like I'm watching it in slow motion.
I cover myself, hoping that I didn't get hit by anything at all, "Ah!"
I slowly open my eyes seeing that the wall is now in half and I'm not injured. I let the air out after holding it from that sudden attack.
The ground quakes again and notice myself that it's moving me forward, towards the large tree. I panic,
"W-what the--? Where are you taking me?!" the ground stops as I'm right in front of the large tree. My mind races, what exactly am I supposed to do now?!
"Aaaaahhh..." the soft and gentle voice sang beautifully, but I didn't know what I'm supposed to do about it.
"Follow my voice.." she told me, her voice continuing to echo with her melodic voice, continuing singing.
I don't even have the energy to sing that high. I try my best to follow her as I can anyways if it means leading me to safety.
"A-Aaaaaahhh...." I cough. Damn, I have a terrible voice compared to hers. Whoever is singing in my mind is a freaking singing goddess. I continue to sing along with her anyways.
And it's weird because it's as if both of our voices suddenly sync with each other, making a bark of the tree glowing in bright green and white. I couldn't believe my eyes what's happening. What's going on?
Amidst of the danger I'm in right now, I couldn't help myself but be mesmerized of the way it glows and shows. It's like it's telling me to come closer and touch it.
Once my finger was able to touch it, despite being extremely exhausted and in pain, it feels like it's sucking my finger and I couldn't pull it out!
I panic even more, "Ah, wait! No! Let go of me! Help- anyone--!!" I continue restraining from being pulled by an unknown force but it's useless. I try to reach out from the outside, hoping someone would pull me. But my whole body is slowly being suck in and all I could see is the man who was chasing after me, stop in his tracks and just gives me a malice smirk before my vision slowly goes white.
What did I get myself into?
