當奇妙18歲左右時候養母便四處找農家姑娘給他相睇，奇妙自覺應該不應再稱呼(姑姑)是要直接稱呼母親但他們鄉下通常叫母親都會稱呼老媽子。他便對著母親勸說:[老媽子妳不用為我婚事擔心啦，況且我們家裡環境又不是太好!]老媽子拍打著他頭說: [傻仔嚟嘅你唔細㗎喇，應該要置家㗎啦;你放心老媽子有辦法。]果然曾母沒有氣餒當找到第八個農家姑娘及時辰八字都不錯她老人家十分之滿意;奇妙也不加意見只要母親喜歡也會接受。他母親亦安排妙仔和陳家姑娘拜堂結婚在1938年6月，陳良燕姑娘便成為曾家新抱，她品性好對家姑考順，妙仔ㄧ早天未光就出去落田耕耘家裡事情她便會和奶奶相量，她們相處十分融洽使妙仔更加安心努力工作找朋友幫忙在外面找散工，因為落完田之後有多餘時間所以希望找多過錢來幫補家中生活。
