Prologue

The air seemed to compress me into a grain of rice, tearing me into a thousand pieces and then pulling me apart as if I was a piece of clay dough. The smell of mushroom soup surrounded me and then, just like a dog being called by its owner, it went away suddenly and the fragrance of rose filled my nose.

Flashes of memory bubbled in my mind: when our family gathered together to enjoy dinner, when I went to the rose garden with my friends, when I lost my dog, when I found the strange package on my bed. Yes! That's it! It's the strange package that started all of this crazy adventure.
