這年適逢為抗爭起始之年，眼見時下青年人及普通大眾為了公義及民主如此盡心盡力，天主教因此亦打算略盡綿力，首次將平安夜晚的聖詩歌頌會和大食晚會結合在一起，地點在天主教聖母無原罪主教教堂舉行，入場費免費，誠邀各市民們前來任飲任食任唱，不限年齡，不限政見，就算是白衣持刀人及便衣持警棍者也不會拒諸門外。
