Ty's POV
Watching Chuky on the couch while you're parents argue for the millionth time today was the daily routine in the brown family. But this fight was worse than the others, it was more violent, not that the others were not violent, "I swear to god!!" my dad yelled in his deep voice filled with rage, he was only like this when he was drunk. Something he did a lot was drink, you could get two sides out of this, chill and happy, or angry, most of the time was angry but I enjoyed the happy dad. I cover my ears to the horrid sound, shutting my eyes, all of us gathered on the large couch just looking at the wall waiting for it to be over, no one really looked at the movie because the only word we heard was "kill" we all get up hesitantly when our mom called us into the room, she was sitting on the bed motioning us to come to her, our dad standing in front of the bed with a gun in his hands. We all sit on the bed cuddling out mom, "i dug two graves in the back, i will fucking shoot you you thinking i'm fucking playing!" he yelled, beer laced in his voice. He waved the gun around while speaking we watched with tears in our eyes as my mom just shook her head silently crying, before we knew it he yelled "GET OUT! All of you go to your room" that's when she held tight, probably fearing for her life "no, don't listen to him" she cried desperation will her eyes as they poured into ours "i said get out! Go now!" he spoke more aggressively now, i looked between them, I wasn't planning on leaving my mom with this crazy man "no, no, no" i spoke slowly so no one could hear me. Mom stayed silent for a few seconds before speaking "guys go, its okay, i'll be okay" she smiled but it was a weak smile, she knew she wouldn't be okay.
"WAKE UP!" the man yelled, i looked at him confused, why was he telling me to wake up? "Tylesha WAKE UP!" a female voice spoke ...so i guess i was having flashbacks? My eyes flutter the bright awakening of the sun "what what what, what do y'all want" I mutter rolling around the silk blankets and bury my face in the pillow "Food is ready dumby" Malik spoke in playful voice, he was my age and you're probably wondering how are y'all the same age but not twins? Well uh my birthday is June 30th and his is march 18th, so when he ages up i age up! So we are in the same grade and age, we just tell people were twins so we don't have to explain. "Well i'm not eating" I roll my eyes at his names "you know you have to" he laughed slightly and stood at the door now "oh and who's gonna force me anyways? No one cares anyways" she said staring at the wall, he went silent for a second before she heard a deep voice that belonged to her Dad "Yo the food is ready, Get up" she jumped at his voice slightly and look at him "okay" i simply reply.
I was standing by the entrance of the kitchen looking at the food, taking a seat next to Mikal, he was already awake if course because well it's Mikal, he's just a ball of endless energy "bro did you eat this, its goooood" he spoke excitedly, she looked down at the food, it wast even that big, it was eggs and toast "no i didn't, but if you gave the chance maybe i could" I spoke in a tired voice, Alex eyeing me across the table "what are we doing today when their gone?" I ask taking a fork full of eggs in my mouth "can we go to the woods, like you said you were gonna take me but you never did soo....." it was true, we had a backyard with some field and then woods, I don't think anyone owned the woods but I loved them, they said it was really pretty and they made a base a little further into the woods. Kione took Mikals toast and took a bite sitting down without saying a word while Mikal spoke about how he was going to eat it but in reality, we knew he wasn't going to, all his calories come from chicken nuggets and chocolate milk. "Sure we can go bu-" he was cut off by diamond coming into the woods "go were??" she looked around the room, she was the mother of the house, she cooked, cleaned and did everything, basically our mom because our other mom was never here, and our dad was either out of laying in the bed probably thinking of wanting another beer. She turned around looking at her "um go to the woods, nothing you're interested in" and rolled her eyes "watch who you're talking to little girl" she scolded, and in walking another malik "y'all, we should play backyardigans. But with like werewolves instead of zombies because, Tylesha is crazy for wolves" Mikal laughed and looked at me "shes going to marry a wolf, shes gonna have many wolf kids with it" he laughed even harder pointing at me "no i'm not!! That's bestiality stupid...that's just, that's just grossss!" I said faking a gag along with it,they called me wolf lover because i love wolves, i use to have an obsession about them when I was little I would act like one when I was little. "We can play Backyardigans when we finish eating!" Alex spoke with excitement.
