Far away from Vankuldir, somewhere in the jungles of Elvendharan, the Elven lands.
The sun rises. The light shines though the thickets. The trees are too big to allow much light. They grow tall. Very tall. Some even seem to reach the skies. The place is evergreen. It's almost magical. It is magical.
In the western part of the forest is the home of Elves. The name Elvendharan has been in use for thousands of years. The elves usually keep in their forests and don't venture much. But they do come to cities to maintain contact with the other world. Not much is known about them. They never made themselves very open to the other world. But what we do know about them is that they live in tree homes. Carved out of the thick trunks of the various trees that populate Elvendharan. Cozy homes. Although they cannot be seen much, they perform a ritual every year where all the elves gather and the sounds of the ritual can be heard. But these are accounts of olden days.
Elvendharan is filled with all kinds of plants and all sorts of creatures live here. There is huge mountain range that goes through the forest. You can see the entire of the forest from the tip of Mount Udabet, the highest peak. The mountain ranges from the north to south in the east side. The plants that are found here cannot be all accounted for. The elves and their love for nature has kept this place fresh and full of life. Rabbits are the most common on the slopes of the hills. But there's a myriad more creatures living in the forest. People have tried to journey through this forest and find out the many secrets it hides. But no one is able to map it out entirely. It is shrouded with mystery but also beauty.
As the sun rises, the birds start their chirping. It's music. The animals come out of the shadows. The sun's rays strike the floor of the forest. Reavels the many creepers and vines that the ground is covered in. It's like a mess of elephant's trunks entangled together.
Time passes.
The sky turns red and so does the forest. The birds return to their homes. The forest prepares for the night. There are trees which bear flowers which glow in the dark. Belits, they are called. They let out an warm yellow glow. The area lights up with a brilliant yellow colour making it look almost like dawn. But the rest of the forest sleeps.

There is a faint light in the forest. Not from the Belits. A clearing. The crackling of the fire could be heard. Embers rose up in the air. Campfires were lit in the clearing. There were horses tied to the trees. Men sat about the fire. Twenty of them. 423Please respect copyright.PENANAEYCFA8TLz6

"That poor little creature. He was so scared, he probably wet his pants. You should have seen scurry away from me. Har Har. He left all his belongings behind too." A tall man said. His voice was rough and had a tone of evil in it. He had a mark that went down the left side of his skull. The flesh had been torn apart and it had healed poorly. He was bald. He had a tattoo of a sword on his right hand. Badly drawn. 423Please respect copyright.PENANAxJBWMpI1ME

The other men fared no better. They laughed with a harsh tone hearing about the plight of the poor creature. No hint of concern for the creature. 423Please respect copyright.PENANAhrgAtgIQj0

A man sat on a stump of a tree which they had felled. He had long hair. Dyed dark green. His face was marked with small cuts. Wore three necklaces and six rings. He sat there. He laughed with them. But some other thought seemed to be bothering him. He tried to look unconcerned. But one of his comrades found out. 423Please respect copyright.PENANAHOGMzPYFyb

"Hey Eltas. What you thinkin'? Huh? Is it about that really good looking bartender? You better not be lost in her dreams." said he. 423Please respect copyright.PENANAKpVp1XIGN8

"Huh? -", Eltas was startled. "No. No. It's not that. I was thinking about Evan. It's been seven days since he has gone."
Just as he had said that, they could hear the hooves of a horse. Echoing through the forest. It came from the southern side of the forest. It became clearer. It was getting closer. The men became silent. They could see a faint outline of a man riding on the horse. He came closer.
He had worn a chaimail chest piece, and rough leather trousers. There was a sword, sheathed, at his waist. "Evan!" cried the tall man. Evan got off his horse. "Olug! How have you been? Not seen you in seven days. Where's Eltas?" 423Please respect copyright.PENANAXeEhWkfVr8

"Good. What have you got for me?"
"The jewels of Eledith. They have resurfaced. I have heard rumors that it is located near the forests of Lesdail."
Eltas' eyes widened. He smiled. An evil look came upon his face. A lustful expression. "So the prophecy has come true. The King himself spoke it."
"Yes. But I fear that it is not only us who are looking for it. There is also some other person who knows about this. And he is after it. He has a map. Or so I heard. He knows a great deal about this place and all the perils it has. He knows how to defeat the defenders of the jewels. He knows how to manipulate them. And he knows how to outsmart his opponents. We must be careful. He might have a lot of power."
Eltas became a bit sad. He seemed a little troubled by this.
"I don't know who is this person you are talking about. But, he shouldn't get it. He won't get it. I need you to get out there and find him. Kill him. Take some men with you. I don't want you to fail this. I don't want the jewels falling into some fool's hand. I deserve them. I will get them. Go, Evan! Find him and kill him!"
"I will not fail this! I need four men and horses. We will set out the day after next morn. Glory to Eltas! "
There was a cheer heard from the crowd. "Glory to Eltas!" they repeated. Their voice thundered through the silent forest. The rest of the forest didn't respond.

From the topmost branch of a tree, a figure could be made out against the moonlight. It was watching them. Listening. Spying on all their activities. As their cheering calmed down, it spread out its wings and flew. It went up high. It's feathers shone golden in the light. It soon disappeared out of sight.
