Christmas is ruined, I finally admit to myself. I tried everything, but every single time I buy my little brother a present it always go missing the next day. “Hey, sis. I’m so excited for Christmas,” my little brother says making me feel even more guilty. “Yeah,” I say though I’m screaming inside. “Can you help? There’s a fly in my room,” he tells me. I’ve never understood my brother’s fear of flys. I sigh, but head to he’s room anyway. I don’t know what he’d do without me. A loud fly buzzes past my face as I enter his room. I chase the stupid fly around his room when the fly ducks under his bed. I lean down tiredly hoping to trap the fly under the bed and then squat the fly. Then I spot something rapped in familiar rapping paper, well three things actually. I grab the presents from under his bed, forgetting about the fly. “Seriously,” I say in anger. My little brother has been stealing his own Christmas presents and hiding them under his bed. I walk back out of his bedroom with purpose and head towards my brother. “Well, this looks familiar,” I grumble showing my little brother the presents, his presents. “I-“ my little brother stutters. “Stole them? I’m putting them somewhere you can’t find them this time,” I tell him, walking off with the neatly wrapped presents. What a little thief.
