Raut sayu, dan mata yang mendayu

Mengusik keindahan malam berlabuh

Meratap dalam dalam labuh


Anak perempuan yang tumbuh dewasa

Melebihi tinggi dari seekor rusa

Kini terhimpit asa

Yang memaksanya meneteskan air mata


Berbelas tahun lamanya sang Ayah tiada

Sebab sang Ibu merana gulana

Bukan hal tak mampu

Namun kesepian meramu


Terlebih padanya

Gadis manis yang tak tahu apa-apa

Melihat keranda yang disangga sangga

Ada siapa disana ? Tanyanya
