"Does it depress you?" The man goads at her jovially, head pointed at the floor as blood breached it's way through the corners of his mouth.

"T-To know just how 'alone' you really are?"

She doesn't reply, but her breath catches in her throat as she raises her hand and pulls the trigger.

The people on the news are calling her a hero, their calling her a savior, but she's not neither of those things, she's just a monster trying to take control of her life again, and the man in the mask following her around isn't helping her do that.
