"I made it" yawn Monica. She pulled over to the side of the road and started looking at the map of Ménage, California. She was looking at the map for about ten minutes before she heard a light tap on her window. She looked up to see a police officer standing buy her car. "Can I help you officer?" asked Monica as soon as she let the window down. "Actually ma'am I was going to ask you if I could help you" replied the officer. "I just moved here from Oakland, California and I'm looking for a place to rest my head until I find a permanent place to live and a job" said Monica. "I would recommend Clarissa's Bed and Breakfast. They charge one hundred dollars a night but the owner and her daughter are friendly as can be" said the officer. "Do you know the place's address?" asked Monica.
"Eighty-four Ménage Street" replied the officer. "Thank you" said Monica. "Your welcome" said the officer and he walked away. The drive to the bed and breakfast was only twenty minutes and it didn't take long for her to find it. As soon as she parked her car she grabbed her draw string bag and packed it full clothes, undergarments, shoes, tooth brush, tooth paste, and mouthwash. "Welcome to Clarissa's Bed and Breakfast. I'm Becky" said a young woman behind a desk. "Hello" said Monica. "How may I help you?" asked Becky. "I'm interested in getting a room for seven days" replied Monica.
"Let me check and see" said Becky and she started typing on her computer. After three minutes she said," Room ten is available for you. We charge one hundred dollars a night and your total would be seven hundred dollars. Is that ok?" asked Becky. "Yes" replied Monica. "Cash or credit?" asked Becky. "Cash" replied Monica and she handed over the money.
"May I have your first and last name for our computer file?" asked Becky. "Monica Rosewood" replied Monica. "Thank you for choosing Clarissa's Bed and Breakfast to rest your head and if you need anything please feel free to ask" said Becky and she handed her a key. "Thank you" said Monica. "I have one more thing to tell you. If you haven't had breakfast yet we are serving bacon, egg, toast, rice and pancakes in the dining hall right now" said Becky.
"Thanks but I'm too tired to eat right now" said Monica. "Ok. Lunch will be served at eleven in the morning and end at five in the afternoon" said Becky. "Ok" said Monica and she went up the stairs. When she entered her room she kicked off her shoes, shoved her bag in the first drawer of the dresser, climbed on the bed and she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
