She wished to enter the sea

in hopes that the temperature would wake her

with closed eyes

she wished to disappear

and sink in to the vast emptiness

but alas, it never happened

she never vanished

she never saw

but in a way,

             she did drown

the moist sand crawled on her skin;

     a remainder that she was still stuck
