"Dude, I have a huge problem" I say to a friend on the phone. After he asks me what, I respond with "She treats me so good. It’s hard to feel bad about it". After some laughter, he continues with "yeah, your wife is pretty awesome." "Yeah, totally my wife" I say while trying to sound as genuine as possible. As I hear his laughter stop, it is almost like I can hear his confusion. "Ok, ok. I'll tell you because you are my bro. I may, or may not, have cheated on her." I proceeded to explain in a serious tone. "What? Who? When? Why?" He continues to shout into the phone. My ears are ringing from trying to listen and I’m forced to hold the phone away while still hearing him clearly. "I do because she makes me feel good inside. Its someone she knows. In fact, you could say she’s a friend. I do this almost every day, and sometimes multiple times." I explain while trying to silence his screaming. Some very eerie silence follows before he proceeds to tell me that we can't be friends anymore because if he sees me again, he might be tempted to hurt me. Sadly, I couldn't help but understand and before I could say more, he hung up on me. I sit there shaking my head trying to think of what to do next. He calls my wife and almost screams into the phone "he is cheating on you". He holds back enough to not scream but still can't help but fear how he sounded. He is horribly taken back when he hears laughter from her. He is so shocked that he can hardly utter the word "why?". She tries to calm her laughing so she can ask him " what is her name?". He tries to overcome any feeling he has and tells her after some struggle "I think he said her name is Debbie?". This is followed by some louder laughter and then a pause. She continues to laugh even harder before taking a deep breath. "I bet that he said she makes him feel good too. Good, because she pretty little." she says bursting out into even harder laughter. He then immediately hangs up on her while she can't control herself. I can still feel the pain from his slap and I clearly remember the words of, never pull a joke like that again.
