It was my 21st birthday and I was going to go out with a couple of my friends to go clubbing. Since I was finally 21 I could do what every other adult does. Drink, gamble, go to strip clubs, etc. but knowing me my parents didn’t raise me that way.I was honestly just going for the heck of it. As I looked into my mirror I took a long glance at myself before turning off the bathroom light. I was ready for this. I walked downstairs to the girls. Forest and Tracey. They were both a year older than me but I still was never seen in public without them. They help me with anxiety around people. That’s why I was down to go clubbing. I looked at the girls with the biggest smile ever plastered on my face. Forest was wearing a purple galaxy short dress and her hair was in two buns. Tracey was dressed in a salmon colored long dress with her hair down. 440Please respect copyright.PENANAWgFnoVc1er
“You guys do realize we’re going to a club. Not to a masquerade ball.” I say lightly. Tracey scoffed harshly and fluffed up her hair. “You’re just jealous we look so good.”
I rolled my eyes. Typical Tracey. Always assuming everyone was jealous of her. I looked at my outfit and thought ‘maybe I was a little underdressed. It’s fine, nobody will notice.’ I was wearing black jeans, a black shirt, black high tops, and a grey beanie. I shrugged it off and grabbed my leather jacket.
“We better go before 12. Women get in for free all from 10pm to 12am.” I say opening the door waiting for them to walk out.
Forest looked at me shocked. “Woah. Where’d you learn that? Have you been…” she looked around. “Illegally drinking?” She says with a smirk.
“No. I just looked at the discounts before you two got here.” I say laughing. Forest always was a little bit of a joker. To be honest she was usually never serious about anything. Unless she got mad.
We left the house and got into the club on time. Well at least me and Forest did. Tracey got left behind having to pay. Forest waited as I walked around the club. There was loud music exploding through the large speakers and fog machines were going off causing things to look a little better with all the disco lights going through the fog and dancers dancing on tables. It was exactly as I imagined it. Of course there was a V.I.P section up on the second floor. Which was where the strippers were placed. It wasn’t really what I was into but I needed to explore the place. I went up the stairs and saw 7 guys sitting on a couch waiting for something as a, middle aged practically naked woman who clearly had plastic surgery, danced on the stripper pole on the table as one of them had their eyes closed. One of the guys looked towards me.
“Are you lost? Or are you the one we were sent after to meet up with?” He asked.
All the others looked towards me. “No. I wasn’t sent here by anyone. I’m just here to...party with my friends. They’re down there.” I say pointing over the railing to Forest and Tracey looking for me. I gulped.
“Get out of here then. We’re waiting for someone important.” Just as the other one spoke a man with a bag turned up behind me.
“Are you the one we were sent to meet up with?” The man nodded. They all stood up and I turned around walking back.
“Hey!” One of the guys yelled.
I turned back around making eye contact with the only blonde of the group. The rest had black hair.
“Don’t look back whatever you do.”
With that I left. I went downstairs and met up with the girls again. Tracey was already drunk and Forest was clearly bored. I sat down at the bar next to her. You Okay Forest?” She nodded.
A man who was kind of attractive came up to me. “Hey. Can I offer you a drink?”
I looked at him then at Forest. “Um...I don-“
“She’d love a drink.” Forest cut in.
“What are you doing?”
“Oh come on you don’t expect me to let you have a horrible birthday. Flirt with this guy. Also I need to take Tracey home before she passes out again.” She lifted up Tracey’s head by her hair. She didn’t flinch.
“Okay. You sure?”
She nodded.
“Alright. Well I love you. Have fun you guys.”
“We will.”
And with that they left. I turned back to the guy.
“One shot. And that’s it.” I say being very clear.
He nodded. He bought me a shot and I stopped drinking.
“Okay. One more. This is going to be a doozy.” He says.
He tapped the bar and the bartender came over. “You know it hurts the bar when you tap on it like that. You could’ve just said ‘bartender’ or ‘Doozy’ instead you had to tap on the fricking bar.”
The guy put his hands up. “Okay okay. Jeez. Sorry I didn’t know you loved your bar so much.”
I laughed and Doozy sighed. “What’ll it be?”
“A Bloody Mary. And make it quick I wanna take this girl dancing soon.” He said leaning against the bar.
The bartender rolled his eyes and got the drink. Another man came up and leaned against the bar getting my attention again.
“Hey pretty lady. Whatcha say we go dance?”
The guy looked over my shoulder at the other guy. “Yosh?”
“Jack?” Their faces lit up and they both walked off to the dance floor disappearing in the crowd.
I sighed and the bartender came back with the Bloody Mary in his hands. He looked around and set the drink down in front of me. “Where’d that guy go?”
I shrugged and grabbed the drink taking a sip. “He went with a friend. I’m not expecting him to come back though. I’ll pay for it.”
I reached for my wallet in my back pocket and the bartender stood there tapping his fingernails on the wood. I opened my wallet and looked at the bartender. “How much?”
“$666.66”
My eyes went wide. I sighed and pulled out $667 dollars from my wallet. “So much for having the greatest birthday ever. Am I right?”
He looked at me as he grabbed the money. “It’s your birthday? How old are you turning?”
“21.”
His eyes went wide. He handed the money back. “It’s on the house. Nobody should get robbed on their birthday.”
“Robbed?”
He laughed quietly. “Yes. Robbed. The drink is expensive, but your first and last 21st birthday is more important than money.”
I chuckled. “Thanks um…”
“Doozy,”
“Doozy? Your name is Doozy?”
He laughed and started to wipe down the bar with a wet towel. “You are funny. No the customers and other bartenders usually call me Doozy because I always get them tired with my talking. Apparently I talk too much. But I like to take it as I am so good at making drinks that everyone wants more and they’re getting Doozy as they get drunk.”
No wonders they think he talks so much. This guy is a talking bomb. Worse than Tracey. But it was nice. I’d have to admit.
“Well let me just say this Bloody Mary is delicious. And I think your name is adorable.” He smiled and blushed looking back down at the bar still cleaning it.
“Well I think I’m going to go. Take care Doozy.”
“Will you need an Uber?”
“No it’s okay I’ll walk.”
We both waved goodbye to each other and I stepped out of the club. I felt a bunch of people bumping into me.
“Hey watch it.” I say watching them bring a guy into an alleyway.
I should’ve kept walking but my curiosity was getting the best of me. I watched them, slowly realizing it was the same 7 guys that I saw in the second level. The blonde and all the black haired guys. What were they doing with the guy who they needed to meet? I watched and snuck behind a trash can watching them and what they were doing. One of the black haired guys pulled out a gun and aimed it to the mans head. The man was on his hands and knees praying and begging.
“Please spare me. I have a family. My wife. My kids.” I watched the man press the gun closer to the crying mans head.
“It’s either you tell us or I’ll blow your brains right out of your skull.” The man said pressing the gun touching the guys forehead now. “Tsk tsk tsk John, John, John. We don’t want to scare the poor man do we? No.” The blonde said coming out of the shadows.
“Sorry boss. It’s just-“ the blonde held up one finger.
“Not now.” The guy with the gun stepped back.
The blonde knelt down and grabbed the poor guys hair. “Now...tell me where the rest of the money is. We were promised 15,000. You gave us 5,000 now where is the rest of the money.”
The guy was struggling. “I’m never going to tell you...Fuck you!!”
One of the guys in the back gasped. “What. Language.”
The man spat in the blondes face and he wiped it off. He stood up and 3 guys went to him 2 holding knives against the poor man's neck and the other holding his neck up. “Tell me. How would your wife feel if you never returned home and your kids...oh no...they might have to put up with depression. Your wife would be….” he whispered into the poor mans ear. “Devastated.”
“I don’t know where the Money is. I was never told.”
The blonde chuckled softly. “Oh don’t give me that crap. TM, M, Jinx...release.” As said the three let go of the man.
“Let’s go men.” They started to walk towards me and I hid even more. Right when the blonde who I think was the leader got right beside me he heard something coming from the man.
“What was that?” He asks walking back to the poor guy.
“I said yeah run you little piece of shit you’re just like your father!!”
The same guy gasped. “Seriously do you kiss your mother with that mouth.”
The blonde pushed the poor man against the wall choking him. “I...do not run. I am not like my father. My father was a coward. He never tried. You’re lucky your heart is still beating.” I looked over and one of the guys noticed me. I quickly hid behind the dumpster. He started to walk closer to me.
“Michael. What is it?” The blonde asks.
“Were being watched.”
“Michael. It’s just your mind playing tricks on you again. Come back here.” He walked away and I took in a deep breath.
I heard the sound of clothes dragging against the brick walls. “Th-thank you. For sparing me.”
The blonde walked away and I heard him whisper into the guy with the guns ear. “Do what you do best.”
I looked through the dumpster and the guy shot the man in the head. My arm bumped a piece of a can as I took in what I just saw with tears forming in my eyes. My heart started racing. “Oh no. This cannot be happening.” I say over and over again in my head.
One of the guys poked their head over me holding a knife. “Hey there pretty mama!!”
I screamed and ran towards the place I entered from. But immediately stopped the moment I saw three men walking towards me. I stepped backwards and hit someone. It was the same guy again but with two other guys by his side. They all crowded around me.
“Leave me alone!!” I yelled.
One of them grabbed me and put their hand around my mouth. “Shut your mouth.” He said looking around.
“Boys!! Give the pretty lady some space.” They all took a few steps back and I backed into a wall.
The blonde walked through the men and looked at me.
“What are you going to do? Rape me?!” He furrowed his eyebrows.
“How much did you see?”
“I saw you shoot the man, I saw you choke the man, I saw you hold knives against his neck. Why’d you do that?!?!”
He looked at the boys. “She’s a keeper.” The blonde grabbed my wrist and I pulled away.
“Oooh you’re feisty. I like it.” I kneed him where the sun doesn’t shine and he knelt down in pain.
I ran away and heard him yell “GET THAT WOMAN!!!!”
I ran as fast as I could. Taking as many turns I possibly could. I stopped at a dead end alleyway. I looked around and heard whistles. I turned around and saw the men walking towards me.
“Look little missy ...I know you might think you can out run us. But you’ve seen too much. And you can’t. But you are a fast one I'll give you that.” One of the guys said panting.
I ran straight to them hoping I could escape. I failed. The guys grabbed me. The blonde showed up and had a shot in his hand. “This won’t hurt a bit.” He pressed the needle into my arm. My whole arm went numb and then my legs. My eyes got heavy and I fell asleep in a matter of seconds. 440Please respect copyright.PENANAWGpSxPTfC0
I opened my eyes and blinked rapidly to gain my sight. Once I was done I looked around and noticed I was tied to a chair. I looked up and saw 6 men standing around me all folding their arms. My tongue was numb so I couldn’t make out any words. I stared at them nervously. The blonde walked out from the middle of them and stood in front of me. He was silent.
“What are we going to do with her boss?” One of the boys asked.
“We can kill her.” Another guy said twirling his gun in his hand.
The blonde looked at the guy. His smile disappeared.
“John. You’re not killing her.” The blonde said.
He looked back at me as the boy called John threw a fit.
“We could...keep her. And teach her how to shoot. And all our skills.”
“I agree with John. We should kill her. That’s what your father would’ve done.”
I noticed the blonde clench his fists, “I’m not my father. Nor do I want to be.” He turned around and punched the man who just stated that.
I felt a knot in the ropes. I did my best to untie it. Once it was untied I kept my hands behind my back to not cause any suspicion. The boss turned to face me and smirked. “Let’s keep her.” He put his hand on my thigh. I smacked him out of survival as a woman.
I stood up and ran to the door. But I got caught by one of the boys.
“Aish. This woman.” I felt the shot in my arm and everything went numb and I fell asleep again.
I opened my eyes and noticed I was somewhere else. I looked around and saw that I was in a room. I sat up and rubbed my arm where the shot was. I got out of bed and grabbed the door handle. It was locked. I sighed and walked to the bathroom. As I looked around I saw female products in the cupboards. I was a little curious. I heard the door unlock. I ran straight to the bed jumping on back in the position I was in. The door opened and there stood a man with blonde hair but it wasn’t the leader. This one seemed more calm.
“I know your not still passed out I made the shot. Get up. You need to eat.” I sat up and looked at the man.
“Why am I here?”
“Because we're going to be using you to become a bada- really cool.”
“Why me though? Also why are there so many female things here.”
The guy stopped setting up the food and water.
“There was a girl before you. But she’s dead now. So let’s just leave it at that.”

He walked out and locked the door. I stood up and walked to the food. There was a sandwich and chips. I grabbed a chip and ate it. I shrugged and the door opened widely.
“Let’s go.” A man with brown hair said grabbing my arms.
“I need to give you target practice.” We walked out of the room.
Tom and Jerry was playing on the TV as one of the guys with red hair watched it closely eating potato chips. As a guy with green hair was reading a book with reading glasses on. They looked like normal people.
We got into a big room with targets.
“Pick your weapon.” The guy said.
I looked at the table of weapons in front of me. There was a bow and arrow, a gun, a knife, and a crossbow.
I grabbed the bow and arrow then the man led me to one of the slots for practicing. The man taught me how to aim. When I shot he was surprised. I walked to the next slot shooting the bullseye. I repeated this all the way to the end. I was in archery for years so this was almost nothing. I gave him the bow and walked to the door. The door opened and a boy with brown hair opened the door and grabbed my arms.
“We need you fit now.”
We ran to a gym and the guy grabbed 50lbs weights.
“Start with these. Ten sets each.”
I sighed and started to do ten reps on each side. The man went into another room and I heard loud music blasting. I put the weights down and snuck over to the door peeking in through the window. It was the guy I was just with and a guy with black hair dancing in sync to a song. I watched in awe. I felt a hand pull me away from the window. It was the guy with the green hair.
“You need to learn the ways of criminals.”
For a minute. I totally forgot these guys were killers and criminals. We walked into a room that had a single desk in it and a chalkboard with chalk words written on it. I sat back and watched the guy teach me. I took notes of how I’m going to escape this place. I smirked and the lesson was over. I took one step out of the door and saw a man with silver hair standing at the door. He had his arms crossed.
“Let’s go.”
“Where?!”
He looked at me strictly then grabbed my wrist and held it tightly. He looked into my eyes with anger.
“Don’t talk to me like that. From now on I am your boss. Now let’s go.” We walked to the garage and when I looked inside there were tons of vehicles. There was a large black van, a white motorcycle, a red scooter, a black motorcycle, and the list just goes on and on and on. The boss walked to a large shelf and grabbed two helmets. He looked at me as he handed me a helmet.
“Get on.” He says pointing to the black bullet bike sitting next to a black mustang.
I put the helmet on and the garage doors opened. this could be my chance to run. I looked at the boss’s pockets and saw that he had a gun on him. Nevermind it’s too risky. He got on the bike and looked at me.
“Okay. You might want to hold onto me.”
“No. I might not.”
He looked at me with a blank expression.
“Alright. Well if you fall off it’s not my fault.”
He started the bike and we rushed out of the garage. I grabbed onto his chest holding onto it like my life depended on it. Which it did.
“Where are we going?!” I yelled trying to communicate with him.
“What?!”
“I said where are we going?!”
We slowed down. I looked up and saw a red light and all that could be heard was the slight buzzing of the light and the engine of the motorcycle. There were no cars around and only one light pole lighting up the street in front of us. Wow even as a criminal he still listens to the law. At least on the roads.
“Why don’t you just keep that pretty mouth of yours shut so I can focus on the road and I won’t regret my choices of keeping you alive.” He says revving the engine. The light turned green and we started moving again. The bike stopped and the boss took out the key.
“Take your hands off me...now.” He says standing up.
I took my hands off and got off the bike looking at the boss in his eyes.
“What’s your actual name?” I say standing there.
He looked at me and grabbed my wrist.
“Let’s go.” He pulled me but I stayed.
“I said let’s go.”
I took my hand out of his grasp and crossed my arms angrily. He pulled out a knife and held it close against my neck. He pressed the blade on my skin.
“I said...let’s. Go. Don’t disrespect me.” I swallowed my confidence and followed him inside. We walked into a highly secured place. We got into a room with plastic on the walls and floors and bright white lights practically blinding me. My eyes finally adjusted to the light and I noticed the boss pointing at all the guys that were in there chained up.
“Shoot them.”
He handed me a bow and 15 arrows.
“They’re innocent.” I say looking at them all crying and walking around like maniacs.
“I said shoot them!!”
I looked at him then at the men. I took in a deep breath and walked to the shooting cliff. I looked back and saw the boss sitting on the couch. He grabbed a glass and poured himself some wine. He looked at me and gestured to continue. I looked back at the men. ‘I could kill the boss and go home’ I thought. I looked back at the boss and shook it off then aimed at one of the guys sitting down. The man who was crying lifted his head and looked towards me. That face looked so familiar. Then like a flashback, I saw his face at the club. What was his name...yo...yosh. I put the arrow down. The man stood up and looked at me.
“What’s taking so long?” The boss asked.
“I’m not shooting that man. I know him.”
The boss walked towards me. He shrugged.
“Alright then.” He took my bow and arrow and walked to the other cliff.
“What are you doing?”
“Something I should’ve done a long time ago.”
He grabbed the arrow and started shooting all the ones who were sitting down and crying. The rest were all running around and screaming as yosh stood there watching them all.
“That man right there watches people die for a living. He’s part of yoko's group. He was going to drug up your drink and take you to the back to rape you. And then murder you. Do you still want to spare him?”
I looked at him.
“How do I know this isn’t just a sick trick for me to do your dirty work.”
He sighed. “Look. If you finish the job on the rest of the men I’ll tell you my name. But. If you step one foot out of place ...you’re going to be the cause of a death of someone who Really doesn’t deserve it. Starting with. Your friends.”
He pointed to a room that had Forest and Tracey in it banging on the glass.
“We caught this man trying to handle your friends. That’s how we have all three of them.”
I looked at the man and shot my arrow straight into his skull. As blood flew onto the plastic I started shooting all of the other guys who were running straight in their heads with my arrows.
I dropped the bow and ran straight to the room. Forest and Tracey were both crying.
“What are you guys doing to them?” I ask looking back at him.
“Nothing.” He says still amazed.
I stood up. “Now tell me your name.”
“It’s Eric. Now let’s go. Leave those girls alone they need time to rest.”
He opened the door and the boy with red hair walked in.
“Ja-Jee What are you doing here?”
I looked back and saw Forest was sneaking a smile as Tracey rolled her eyes and walked to the corner of the room.
“I’m just here to feed the girls.” The man said.
“Where’s the food then?” Eric asks.
He shrugged and walked to the door. He laid down and started to move his legs back and forth as he talked to Forest with the biggest smile reflecting on the glass.
We walked out and Eric locked up the door.
“Who was that?”
“That was Jee. He’s more of a...a kid in our group.”
Listening to his tone seemed more calm than earlier. Did I impress him and he’s finally going to be nice to me?
“I’ll introduce you to everyone when we get there. Just get on the bike.”
I followed his orders and got on the bike grabbing onto his chest again,
“You’re lucky it’s not you who’s driving.”
“How?” I ask trying to sound excited.
“Cuz it’d be really awkward.”
I laughed and we were on our way back to the house/mansion that they live in which seems a little suspicious. We got there and Eric parked the bike where there was an empty space. He looked back at me and got off the bike.
“So am I going to stay in that room I was in earlier?”
“No.” His tone went back to the cold tone as before.
He grabbed me by the neck and dragged me into the building. We walked into a room with a boy lying on the bed with his black hair slicked back and a face mask on.
“Michael. Make her take a shower. We’re going shopping tomorrow.” Eric says harshly pushing me into the room.
“But I-“ before he could finish the door slammed.
“Don't ...know...how... to... take care of ...a ...woman.” He sighed and looked at me as I felt tears roll down my face. “So what’d you do?” He asks curiously.
I looked at his face and a smile snuck its way through the tears that face mask he had on was hilarious. He sighed and pointed at a door on the side of the room.
“There’s the bathroom. Don’t use too much hot water. Cuz I need to wash my face afterwards. Also don’t take too long. Just wash your hair and body then get out.” He grabbed his phone and turned it on resting his head on his arm.
I sighed and went into the bathroom to take a shower. I looked at my arm which had a bruise where the shots were put in. I groaned and got in the shower trying to get the thoughts out of my head. As I closed my eyes, I saw all the guys I shot today. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly feeling relieved because I realized what would’ve happened if I didn’t kill those men. I heard a knock at the door and a voice following.
“Hey hurry up in there. I need to wash my face.” He yells.
I sighed and started to wash my hair with the krieger shampoo and Oleavine body wash as fast as I could. I walked out and grabbed a towel to cover my body. I ignored Michael and walked out. He left the door open and I looked down at a sleeping bag and pillow on the floor. Laying next to it was a pile of clothes. I picked up the pile and examined it.
“It’s my shorts and one of the bosses shirts. He gave it to me saying you need to sleep in some pajamas. You’re welcome.” Michael says from the bathroom.
“Thanks.” I say holding my towel tighter.
I walked over to the bathroom door and stood there looking at the man who was leaning over the sink washing his face. He looked up at me.
“What?”
“Is there a lock on your door?”
“No. There isn't ``why?”
I shrugged. “No reason.”
I shut the bathroom door and dropped the towel. I put myself in the big exercise shorts and the big FG T-shirt in a matter of seconds. Michael walked out of the bathroom and had water dripping down his face.
“Can I borrow the towel you were using?”
“Do you not have any other towels?”
“I only have one because I don’t expect people to be sleeping in my room. Now can I please have the towel.”
I handed the towel to him and he started to pat his face with it.
“Thanks.” He says taking it back into the bathroom.
I laid down on the sleeping bag and Michael came out of the bathroom, turning off the lights and staring down at me.
“Um ...what are you doing?” He asks.
